Bon tricot!

I watched the video before writing to you. But the matter is that on the video there is no " thread over the piece so that it is towards you", cause the thread is behind the work and there is no " slip yarn over purlwise" cause all the stitches within the pattern are Knitted. So please, - what to follow than - video or description? If description, please specify this place. thank you!

Dear Oksana, the video is showing this row from the RS (as worked in the round), but you are here working back and forth, so that this row is worked from WS, the yarn should be towards you (ready to work the next purled st), then slip the yarn over, purl 3 sts, slip the yarn over and pass yarn behind work, ready to work next stitch which is a knitted stitch. Happy knitting!

Could you please specify this point in the description: place the thread over the piece so that it is towards you Should the thread to be in front of the work? So the yarn over is slipped over it to the right needle? On the video it is behind.

29.12.2018 - 18:05DROPS Design answered:
Dag Cathy,
Nadat je 6 keer A.1 hebt gebreid, brei je de volgende 2 steken alleen de eerste 2 steken van A.1, dan nog 2 steken in ribbelsteek.

EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN: ---------------------------------------------------------- GARTER STITCH (back and forth): 1 ridge = knit 2 rows. PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 and A.2. Diagrams show all rows in pattern seen from the right side. ---------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ---------------------------------------------------------- SCARF - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: Work piece back and forth on circular needle. SCARF: Cast on 36 stitches on circular needle size 7 mm with 1 strand Air and 1 strand Brushed Alpaca Silk (= 2 strands). Purl 1 row from wrong side, then work pattern as follows from right side: 2 stitches in GARTER STITCH - read explanation above, A.1 (= 5 stitches) 6 times in total in width, work the first 2 stitches in A.1, 2 stitches in garter stitch. On first row decrease 6 stitches (decrease is shown in diagram) = 30 stitches. On 3rd row increase 7 stitches (increase is shown in diagram) = 37 stitches. When entire A.1 has been worked vertically, repeat the last 6 rows in diagram until piece measures 151 cm. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! Now work A.2 (= 5 stitches) over every repetition of A.1. On 5th row in A.2 decrease 7 stitches on row (decrease is shown in diagram) = 30 stitches. On 7th row increase 6 stitches on row (increase is shown in diagram) = 36 stitches. When entire A.2 has been worked vertically, scarf measures approx. 156 cm. Cast off stitches with knit over knit and purl over purl. |
