I presume when you have cast off centre 9sts you will have two separate sides to knit with yarn attached to each side
20.02.2025 - 18:33DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Everitt, correct, after you have cast off the middle 9 sts, finish each shoulder separately, work the first shoulder with the yarn then after casting off, cut the yarn and finish the second shoulder joining the yarn. Happy knitting!

I would like to make this sweater for my grand daughter. The pattern calls for 9 mm needles In super bulky yarn with a gauge of 10 stitches and 14 rows to 4 inches. The super bulky (6) yarns I see all call for an 8 mm needle with 10 stitches and 12 rows to 4 inches. Which is correct?
16.08.2022 - 05:03DROPS Design answered:
Dear Rhonda, you are working here with DROPS Snow and a tension of 10 sts x 14 rows in stocking stitch = 10 x 10 cm, needle size is just an information, adjust needle size to your own tension so that you get the correct finished measurements. Happy knitting!

Will it affect the tension if I do not add glitter yarn?
04.04.2020 - 12:23DROPS Design answered:
Dear Gina, no, this will not affect it at all, as Glitter is very thin thread which only gives the shiny effect to garment. Happy knitting!
