Siehe unter "Garngruppen". Statt doppelfädig mit Garnen der Gruppe A können Sie auch einfädig mit einem Garn der Gruppe C stricken.

Wow, thanks so much for the speedy response. I think I understand now. It's basically a couple extra rows for the front band so that the turn for the neck V-shape is more prominent. Right?

WM Lai, you work the 8 band sts, then turn work and work back. It's like a short row.

I am trying to understand the pattern and don't know what this line means exactly: "knit 2 rows over the 8 front band sts (do not knit other sts)" Could someone explain it? Thanks much!

Knitting tension: 17 sts x 22 rows on needles size 5 mm knitted in stocking sts using 1 thread of each quality = 10 x 10 cm. Because of the texture of the pattern the garment will contract a little, but it is very elastic. Pattern: See diagram M.1. The diagram is seen from the RS. Front band: (from the RS) 2 garter sts, K2, P2 and K2. Garter sts back and forth: Knit all rows. Decreasing tips (For the neckline): Dec. inside the 8 front band sts at the mid front. All dec. are done from the RS. Dec. as follows before/after 8 band sts: P2 tog. Button holes: Cast off for button holes at the right front band. 1 button hole = 2 garter sts, K2, make a yo, P 2 tog and 2 garter sts. Cast off for button holes when the piece measures: Size S: 2, 8, 15, 22, 29 cm Size M: 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 cm Size L: 2, 10, 17, 24, 31 cm Size XL: 2, 10, 17, 24, 32 cm Size XXL: 2, 10, 18, 25, 33 cm ___________________________________________________________________ Back piece: Knit the work back and forth on pointed needles. Cast on 72-78-84-90-102 sts (inc.of 1 edge st each side) on pointed needles size 5 mm with 1 thread of each quality. Knit 2 rows of garter sts. Continue as follows (from the RS): 1 edge st, P1, *K2, P4*, repeat from *-* and finish with K2, P1 and 1 edges st. When the piece measures 10 cm inc. 1 st each side on every 10-7-7-7-8 cm a total of 3-4-4-4-4 times = 78-86-98-110 sts (P new sts). When the piece measures 33-34-35-36-37 cm cast off for armholes each side on every other row as follows: 3 sts 1-1-1-1-2 times, 2 sts 2-3-3-4-4 times and 1 st 1-2-3-4-5 times = 62-64-68-68-72 sts. Continue until the piece measures 47-49-51-53-55 cm. Then knit the mid 34-34-38-38-38 sts *K2, P2*, repeat from *-* and finish with K2 (knit other sts as before). When the piece measures 50-52-54-56-58 cm cast off the mid 18-18-22-22-22 sts for the neck= 22-23-23-23-25 sts left for each shoulder. Continue to knit with K over K and P over P, but knit 2 sts towards the neck in garter sts. When the piece measures 52-54-56-58-60 cm cast off loosely with K over K and P over P. Left front: Cast on 40-43-46-49-55 sts (incl. of 8 front band sts and 1 edge st) on pointed needles size 5mm with 1 thread of each quality. Knit 2 rows of garter sts. Knit the next row as follows beg at the side (from the RS): Size S: 1 edge st, P2, K2, P4, K2, P2, M.1 (=17 sts), P2 and 8 front band sts (see explanation). Size M: 1 edge st, P1, K2, P2, K2, P4, K2, P2, M.1 (= 17 sts), P2 and 8 front band sts (see explanation). Size L: 1 edge st P2, K2, P4, K2, P4, K2, P2, M.1 (= 17 sts) P2 and 8 front band sts (see explanation) Size XL: 1 edge st, P1, K2, P2, K2, P4, K2, P4, K2, P2, M.1 (= 17 sts), P2 and 8 front band sts (see explanation) Size XXL: 1 edge st, P1, K2, P2, K2, P4, K2, P4, K2, P4, K2, P2, M.1 (= 17 sts), P2 and 8 front band sts (see explanation). Continue this way. At the same time when the piece measures 10 cm inc. 1 st at the side on every 10-7-7-7-8 cm a total of 3-4-4-4-4 times = 43-47-50-53-59 sts (P new sts). Continue until the piece measures 30-31-32-33-34 cm and then knit 2 rows over the 8 front band sts (do not knit other sts) This will make the neck shape even. Then continue to knit over all sts as before and dec. 1 st towards the neck at the mid front – read decreasing tips: on every other row a total of 5-4-7-6-5 times and on every 4th row a total of 8-9-8-9-10 times. At the same time substitute M.1 with following: K2, P4, K5, P4, K2 (adjust to 1 completed repeat of M.1) At the same time when the piece measures 33-34-35-36-37 cm cast off for sleeve hole as done for the back piece. After all dec. for the armhole and neck are completed = 22-23-23-23-25 sts left for the shoulder. Knit until the piece measures 52-54-56-58-60 cm. Cast off loosely with K over K and P over P. Right front: Knit as left front but reverse. Remember to cast off for button holes – see explanation above. Sleeve: Knit the work back and forth on pointed needles. Cast on 43-45-47-49-51 sts (incl. 1 edge st each side) on needle size 5 mm with 1 thread of each quality. Knit 2 rows of garter sts. Continue as follows (seen from the RS): Size S: 1 edge st, P2, K2, P4, K2, P2, M.1 (= 17 sts), P2, K2, P4, K2, P2 and 1 edge st. Size M: 1 edge st, P3, K2, P4, K2, P2, M.1 (= 17 sts), P2, K2, P4, K2, P3 and 1 edge st. Size L: 1 edge st, P4, K2, P4, K2, P2, M.1 (= 17 sts), P2, K2, P4, K2, P4 and 1 edge sts. Size XL: 1 edge st, P1, K2, P2, K2, P4, K2, P2, M.1 (= 17 sts), P2, K2, P4, K2, P2, K2, P1 and 1 edge st. Size XXL: 1 edge st, P2, K2, P2, K2, P4, K2, P2, M.1 (= 17 sts), P2, K2, P4, K2, P2, K2, P2 and 1 edge st. At the same time when the piece measures 8 cm inc. 1 sts each side on every 3-2.5-2-2-1.5 cm a total of 8-9-10-11-13 times = 59-63-67-71-77 sts ( P new sts). At the same time when the piece measures approx. 20 cm substitute M.1 with K2, P4, K5, P4 and K2 (adjust to a finish repeat of M.1). Continue until the piece measures 32-32-31-31-30 cm. Cast off 3 sts each side. Then cast off for the sleeve cap each side on every other row as follows: 2 sts 3 times and 1 st 2-3-4-5-6 times. Continue to cast off 2 sts each side until the piece measures 40-41-41-42-42 cm. Then cast off 3 sts each side. Cast off remaining sts when the piece measures approx. 41-42-42-43-43 cm. Assembly: Sew the shoulder seams (the difference in the texture pattern can make P and K sts not agree with each other at the shoulder). Sew in the sleeves. Sew the sleeve and the side seams inside 1 edge st. Sew in the buttons. |
