På første pind tager du 1 maske ind i hver A.1 92-4=88 masker - God fornøjelse!

Thank you for answering. I found the Diagram instructions. Is A1 knitted on one side of the raglan then increase on both sides of the imaginary marker then increase again, before A2 on the other side of the raglan? Or are the increases on the stockinette row? I am a very visual person and can not visualize the instructions. Is it possible to do a video of this stitch sequence? This seems above my knitting experience. Or are you stating that there are 2 raglan lines? Thanks for your help.

Dear Dianne, diagram A.1 first then A.2 are worked at the transition between each piece, they are the raglan lines where you will increase before or/and after for raglan (see RAGLAN; So on the very first round you will work A.1 (1 time in width at each transition) increasing in A.1 as explained under diagram text. Then work 2nd round A.1 knitting all stitches. Now work A.2 (1 time in width at each transition = 4 times on the round in total) instead of A.1 at the transition of each piece for the raglan and start increasing at the same time for raglan. Happy knitting!

I understand much gets lost in the translation from language to language, but the way it's written in the set up row to place the markers for sleeves and bodice make no sense to me.It says 11+11+23+23=84 sts. it doesn't.And the A1 and A2 diagram also makes no sense to me.What are the lines inside the squares supposed to mean?It could be so simple but the written pattern makes it so difficult. It shouldn't be so hard to figure out. can't it just say where to place the markers? Thanks
25.02.2025 - 04:46DROPS Design answered:
Dear Dianne, A.1 and A.2 are the diagrams worked at each raglan - you first work A.1 then repeat A.2 in heigth as long as stated. A.1 is worked over 5 sts so that you will have: 5 sts A.1, 11 sts , 5 sts A.1, 23 sts, 5 sts A.1, 11sts, 5 sts A.1, 23 sts=5+11+5+23+5+11+5+23=88 sts. Rad more about diagrams here. We don't use markers for raglan here but you can use some if you like to, you can add one marker before/after each raglan line = A.1 first then A.2. Happy knitting!

Bon tricot!

Please can you think of creating patterns designed for more slender people. You used to have smaller sizes . This may be the fashion but the finished article swamps me. It looks big on the model too.

---------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN: ---------------------------------------------------------- PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 and A.2. RAGLAN: INCREASE 1 STITCH TOWARDS THE RIGHT BEFORE A.2: Make a yarn over on right needle by placing the yarn around right needle from behind and forwards, on next round knit yarn over in front loop of stitch. Then work the new stitches in stocking stitch. INCREASE 1 STITCH TOWARDS THE LEFT AFTER A.2: Make a yarn over on right needle by placing the yarn in front of needle and then pull the yarn backwards, on next round knit yarn over in back loop of stitch. Then work the new stitches in stocking stitch. DECREASE TIP: Decrease 1 stitch on each side of marker thread as follows: Work until 3 stitches remain before marker thread and knit 2 together, knit 2 (marker thread is in the middle of these 2 stitches), slip 1 stitch knitwise, knit 1, pass slipped stitch over stitch worked (= 2 stitches decreased). SLEEVE TIP: When picking up stitches mid under sleeve, there will be a small hole in the transition between stitches on body and sleeves. The holes can be closed by picking up the strand between two stitches - work this strand twisted together with the first stitch between body and sleeve so that the holes closes. ---------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ---------------------------------------------------------- JUMPER - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: In this pattern needles of different length have been used, begin with fitting length for number of stitches and switch as needed. Work neck edge and yoke in the round on circular needle from right shoulder back, and work top down. When yoke is done, divide piece for body and sleeves. Work body downwards in the round on circular needle while putting the sleeves aside. Then work sleeves downwards in the round on needle. NECK EDGE: Cast on 84-88-92-96-96-100 stitches on circular needle size 5.5 mm with 1 strand DROPS Daisy and 1 strand DROPS Kid-Silk (= 2 strands), or 1 strand DROPS Lima and 1 strand DROPS Kid-Silk (= 2 strands). Switch to circular needle size 4 mm and knit 4 rounds, then work 2 rounds rib (= knit 1/purl 1). YOKE: Continue with circular needle size 5.5 mm. Work first round as follows: A.1, 11 stitches in stocking stitch (= sleeve), A.1, 21-23-25-27-27-29 stitches in stocking stitch, A.1 (= front piece), 11 stitches in stocking stitch (= sleeve), A.1, 21-23-25-27-27-29 stitches in stocking stitch (= back piece) = 80-84-88-92-92-96 stitches. Work last round in A.1 and stocking stitch over the remaining stitches. Insert 1 marker after the first 29-30-31-32-32-33 stitches on round (= approx. mid front), measures piece from this marker. Then work A.2 over every repetition of A.1, and stocking stitch as before and increase for RAGLAN - read explanation above and work as follows: ROUND 1: Increase by making a yarn over before and after every A.2 (= 8 stitches increased). ROUND 2: Work pattern as before, work the new stitches in stocking stitch. Work 1st and 2nd round 1-2-5-7-5-8 times (= 2-4-10-14-10-16 rounds have been worked) = 88-100-128-148-132-160 stitches on needle. Remember to follow the knitting tension! Continue with stocking stitch and A.2 as before, and increase for raglan as follows: ROUND 1: Increase by making a yarn over before and after every A.2 (= 8 stitches increased) ROUND 2: Work pattern as before, work the new stitches in stocking stitch. ROUND 3: Increase by making a yarn over after 2nd repetition of A.2, before 3rd repetition of A.2, after 4th repetition of A.2 and before 1st repetition of A.2, i.e. increase only on front piece and back piece, do not increase on sleeves (= 4 stitches increased). ROUND 4: Work pattern as before, work the new stitches in stocking stitch. Work 1st to 4th round 12-12-11-11-14-14 times (= 48-48-44-44-56-56 rounds have been worked, you have increased 12-12-11-11-14-14 times on sleeves, 24-24-22-22-28-28 times on front piece/back piece) = 232-244-260-280-300-328 stitches on needle. All increases for raglan are done, you have increased 25-26-27-29-33-36 times on front piece/back piece and 13-14-16-18-19-22 times on sleeves. Work stocking stitch and A.2 as before, without increasing, until piece measures approx. 24-25-26-28-31-34 cm from marker mid front. Now divide yoke for body and sleeves. DIVIDING FOR BODY AND SLEEVES: AT THE SAME TIME as next round is worked divide yoke for body and sleeves as follows: Work the first 2 stitches and keep stitches on the needle (these stitches belong to back piece), slip the next 41-43-47-51-53-59 stitches on a thread for sleeve, cast on 10-12-14-16-18-20 new stitches on needle (= in the side mid under sleeve), work 75-79-83-89-97-105 stitches as before (= front piece), slip the next 41-43-47-51-53-59 stitches on a thread for sleeve, cast on 10-12-14-16-18-20 new stitches on needle (= in the side mid under sleeve) and work the last 73-77-81-87-95-103 stitches as before (back piece is 75-79-83-89-97-105 stitches in total). Work body and sleeves separately and beginning of round is in the transition between body and sleeve. BODY: = 170-182-194-210-230-250 stitches. Work in stocking stitch in the round over all stitches until piece measures 49-51-53-55-57-59 cm from marker mid front. Switch to circular needle size 4 mm. Work 4 rounds with rib (=knit 1/purl 1), then work 4 rounds in stocking stitch. Cast off with circular needle size 5.5 mm. Jumper measures 52-54-56-58-60-62 cm from marker mid front and approx. 55-57-59-61-63-65 cm from the top of shoulder. SLEEVES: Slip 41-43-47-51-53-59 sleeve stitches from one thread on to circular needle size 5.5 mm and pick in addition up 1 stitch in each of the 10-12-14-16-18-20 stitches cast on under sleeve - read SLEEVE TIP = 51-55-61-67-71-79 stitches. Insert 1 marker thread in the middle of the 10-12-14-16-18-20 new stitches under sleeve - round begins at the marker thread. Work in stocking stitch in the round on needle - AT THE SAME TIME when sleeve measures 3 cm from division, decrease mid under sleeve – read DECREASE TIP and decrease as follows: Decrease 2 stitches every 10-8-5-3½-2½-2 cm 3-4-6-9-10-13 times in total = 45-47-49-49-51-53 stitches. Work until sleeve measures 38-38-37-35-33-31 cm from division. Switch to double pointed needles size 4 mm. Work 4 rounds with rib (= knit 1/purl 1), on first round increase 1 stitch = 44-46-48-48-50-52 stitches. Then knit 4 rounds. Cast off with double pointed needles size 5.5 mm. Sleeve measures approx. 41-41-40-38-36-34 cm from division. |
