Set consists of: Knitted DROPS hat, neck warmer and wrist warmers in “Symphony” or "Melody" and “Nepal”.

GARTER ST (in the round on needle): * K 1 round and P 1 round *, repeat from *-*. -------------------------------------------------------- HAT: Worked in the round. Loosely cast on 88-92 sts on double pointed needles size 4.5 mm with Nepal. Work in GARTER ST - read explanation above - for 3 cm. On next round switch to Symphony or Melody and double pointed needles size 7 mm - AT THE SAME TIME dec 18 sts evenly = 70-74 sts. Continue with Symphony or Melody in stocking st until piece measures approx. 17-19 cm. Then dec 10-12 sts evenly every other round a total of 5-4 times = 20-26 sts remain. On next round, work all sts tog 2 by 2, cut the thread and pull it through all sts, tighten tog. Piece measures approx. 22-23 cm vertically. BOW: PART 1: Loosely cast on 16 sts on double pointed needles size 4.5 mm with Nepal. K all rows for approx. 5 cm, loosely cast off. PART 2: Loosely cast on 9 sts on double pointed needles size 4.5 mm with Nepal. K all rows for approx. 3 cm, loosely cast off. Sew short sides on PART 2 (not cast on edge and cast off edge) tog in front loop of outermost st. Pull PART 1 through PART 2. Sew the bow on to the hat. -------------------------------------------------------- NECK WARMER: Worked in the round. Loosely cast on 104 sts on circular needle size 4.5 mm with Nepal. Work in GARTER ST - read explanation above - for 3 cm. On next round switch to Symphony or Melody and circular needle size 7 mm - while AT THE SAME TIME dec 20 sts evenly = 84 sts. Continue with Symphony or Melody in stocking st until piece measures approx. 23 cm. Switch to circular needle size 4.5 mm and Nepal while AT THE SAME TIME inc 20 sts evenly on next round = 104 sts. Work in garter st for 3 cm, loosely cast off. Piece measures approx. 26 cm vertically. -------------------------------------------------------- WRIST WARMERS: Worked in the round. Loosely cast on 30-31 sts on double pointed needles size 4.5 mm with Nepal. Work in GARTER ST - read explanation above - for 3 cm. On next round switch to Symphony or Melody and double pointed needles size 7 mm - AT THE SAME TIME dec 6 sts evenly = 24-25 sts. Continue with Symphony or Melody in stocking st until piece measures 12-13 cm. Then switch to double pointed needles size 4.5 mm and Nepal - AT THE SAME TIME inc 6 sts evenly on next round = 30-31 sts. Work in garter st for 3 cm, loosely cast off. Piece measures approx. 15-16 cm vertically. BOW: PART 1: Loosely cast on 10 sts on double pointed needles size 4.5 mm with Nepal. K all rows for approx. 3½ cm, loosely cast off. PART 2: Loosely cast on 6 sts on double pointed needles size 4.5 mm with Nepal. K all rows for approx. 2 cm, loosely cast off. Sew short sides on PART 2 (not cast on edge and cast off edge) tog in front loop of outermost st. Pull PART 1 through PART 2. Sew bow on to wrist warmer. Knit another wrist warmer and bow the same way. |
