The jacket itself is crochet in Vivaldi, but use Cotton Viscose for M.1 and M2. Crochet tension: 12 dtr x 5 rows on hook size 4mm with Vivaldi = 10 x 10 cm Crochet info: At the beg of each row replace the first dtr with 4 ch. Increasing tip: Only inc on rows with dtr. To inc 1 dtr crochet 2 dtr in the penultimate dc/dtr each side. Casting off tip: Only cast off on rows with dtr. Cast off as follows at beg of row: crochet 1 sl st over the first dtr Cast off as follows at the end of row: Turn the piece when number of dtr to be cast off is left on row. Pattern description: Crochet M.1 and M.2 in Cotton Viscose. M.1: see diagram1. M.2 = 2 rows of dc. Crochet pattern when piece measures: Back and front piece: Size S: 7(M.1) - 17(M.2) - 20(M.1) - 42(M.2) cm Size M: 7(M.1) - 18(M.2) - 21(M.1) - 43(M.2) cm Size L: 8(M.1) - 19(M.2) - 22(M.1) - 45(M.2) cm Size XL: 8(M.1) - 19(M.2) - 23(M.1) - 46(M.2) cm Size XXL: 8(M.1) - 20(M.2) - 24(M.1) - 48(M.2) cm Adjusting number of dc: When piece measures 7-7-8-8-8 cm, adjust number of dc on first row of M.1 to 58-61-67-73-82 on back piece and to 31-37-40-43-46 on front piece. Back piece: Crochet 64-70-77-86-96 ch (incl 1 ch to turn with) on crochet hook size 4 mm with 1 thread Vivaldi and 1 thread Cotton Viscose. Crochet 1 dc in second ch from crochet hook, 1 dc in each of the next 2 ch, *skip 1 ch, 1 dc in each of the next 3 ch*, repeat from *-* (in size M and XL finish row with 1 dc in each of the last 2 ch, in size L finish with 1 dc in the last ch) = 48-53-58-65-72 dc. Now crochet 1 row dc with Cotton Viscose only. Change to 1 thread Vivaldi and crochet 1 dtr in each dc – see Crochet info. Continue with 1 dtr in each dtr. When piece measures approx 5 and 15 cm inc 1 dtr each side – see Increasing tip = 52-57-62-69-76 dtr. At the same time crochet pattern – see Pattern description. When piece measures 35-36-37-38-39 cm cast off for armhole each side on every row as follows : 3 dtr 1-1-1-2-2 times, 2 dtr 0-1-1-1-2 times and 1 dtr 2-2-3-2-3 times = 42-43-46-49-50 dtr –see casting off. At the same time when piece measures 52-54-56-58-60 cm crochet 1 row but only on 15-15-16-17-17 dtr each side (do not crochet on the middle 12-13-14-15-16 dtr = neckline). Cut the thread, piece measures approx 54-56-58-60-62 cm. Left front piece: Crochet from side towards mid front. Crochet 36-40-44-48-52 ch (incl 1 ch to turn with) on crochet hook size 4 mm with 1 thread Vivaldi and 1 thread Cotton Viscose. Crochet 1 dc in second ch from crochet hook, 1 dc in each of the next 2 ch, *skip 1 ch, 1 dc in each of the next 3 ch*, repeat from *-* = 27-30-33-36-39 dc. Now crochet 1 row dc with Cotton Viscose only. Change to 1 thread Vivaldi and crochet 1 dtr in each dc – see Crochet info. Continue with 1 dtr in each dtr. Inc at side as described for back piece = 29-32-35-38-41 dtr – read inc. tips. At the same time crochet pattern – see Pattern description. At the same time when piece measures 30-31-32-33-34 cm cast off for neckline towards mid front on every row – see Casting off tip: 1 dtr a total of 9-10-11-11-11 times. At the same time cast off for armhole as described for back piece when piece measures 35-36-37-38-39 cm = 15-15-16-17-17 dtr left on shoulder. Continue until piece approx 54-56-58-60-62 cm and cut the thread. Right front piece: Like left front piece, and assembled with WS out (to make sure the pattern and the neckline is identical on both front pieces). Sleeve: Crochet 48-48-48-56-56 ch (incl 1 ch to turn with) on crochet hook size 4 mm with 1 thread Vivaldi and 1 thread Cotton Viscose. Crochet 1 dc in second ch from crochet hook, 1 dc in each of the next 2 ch, *skip 1 ch, 1 dc in each of the next 3 ch*, repeat from *-* = 36-36-36-42-42 dc. Now crochet 1 row dc with Cotton Viscose only. Change to 1 thread Vivaldi and crochet 1 dtr in each dc – see Crochet info. Continue with 1 dtr in each dtr. At the same time when piece measures 5 cm inc 1 dtr each side on every other row a total of 3-4-5-4-5 times (inc. only when crochet dtr) = 42-44-46-50-52 dtr– see Increasing tip. At the same time crochet pattern – see Pattern description. When piece measures 25-24-24-23-23 cm cast off for sleeve cap each side on every row – see casting off tip: 4 dtr 2 times and 2 dtr each side until piece measures approx 34-34-35-35-36 cm. Cut the thread. Assembly: Sew shoulder seams with neat sts. Set in sleeves. Sew sleeve and side seam. Crochet border: See Crochet info! Crochet a border along one front piece, round neckline and along the other front piece as follows: Crochet approx 130-160 dc (the border should be even) with crochet hook size 4 mm and Vivaldi. Make sure not to crochet to many so the opening expand or the few so the edge becomes to tight. Row 1: 1 dtr in each dc with Vivaldi Row 2: 1 dc in each dtr with Cotton Viscose Row 3: 1 dc in each dc with 1 thread Cotton Viscose and 1 thread Vivaldi (double thread). Crochet string: Crochet a chain of ch with crochet hook size 4 mm and Vivaldi measuring approx 130 to 170 cm. Pull string though the row of dtr after the second row in M.1 at the waist, with the ends mid front. Make a tassel for each end of the string as follows: Cut 12 threads of Cotton Viscose and 8 threads Vivaldi measuring 20 cm each. Fold them double, sew the string to the folded end and wind one of the threads round the tassel at the top to keep it in place. |
