Each knot is worked around 1 stitch. Cut 1 strand in colour red or olive, 5 cm in length. Use a needle and pull the strand through the stitch so both ends of the strand are on the right side and on each side of the stitch. Tie a knot. Cut the strand-ends to ½ cm. Decorate with as many knots as you like. TWISTED CORD: Cut 1 strand of colour chocolate, 3 metres in length. Twist the strand until it begins to resist. Fold the strand double and it will continue to twist. Tie a knot in each end. Work as many trees as you wish and sew each one to the cord, through the top of each tree, using colour chocolate. |
