Bonjour, Attention y a une erreur en français et dans d'autres langues (islandais, néerlandais...), le total de mailles après les augmentations du coussin est de 248 mailles et non 216. En effet (2+27+2)*8=248. Ce qui donne bien 8*31. Hello, Watch out there is an error in French and in other languages (Icelandic, Dutch...), the total number of stitches after the cushion increases is 248 stitches and not 216. Indeed (2+27+2)*8 =248. Which gives 8*31.

Buon lavoro!

I do not understand the "increase 2 stitches evenly between marker threads" direction. Does this mean inc. 2 by YO in the middle between each marker? (15 stitches from the marker inc by 2?) Or yo k10 inc 1 k10inc 1? And are these increases still YO or KFB?
04.05.2020 - 16:52DROPS Design answered:
Dear Amber, when you increase evenly you have to work the 2 yarn overs between each marker evenly spaced between the markers, not next to each other neither next to the yarn over made for the regular increased - read more how to increase evenly here. These yarn overs will be worked also twisted to avoid holes. Happy knitting!

---------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN: ---------------------------------------------------------- GARTER STITCH (back and forth): 1 ridge = knit 2 rows. INCREASE TIP: Increase 1 stitch by making 1 yarn over. On next round knit yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. ---------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ---------------------------------------------------------- PILLOW CASE - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: Piece is worked in the round from centre and outwards with 1 strand. Work 2 parts that are sewn tog when finished. Work sun rays back and forth with 2 strands. PILLOW CASE: Cast on 8 stitches with 1 strand Paris and divide them on 4 double pointed needles size 4 mm. Insert 1 marker at beginning of round. Knit 2 stitches in every stitch = 16 stitches. Insert 8 marker threads in piece with 2 stitches between each marker. Move the marker threads upwards when working. Work in stocking stitch in the round and increase 1 stitch after every marker thread - read INCREASE TIP (= 8 stitches increased on round). increase like this every other round 27 times in total, at the same time on last round (27th round with increase) increase 2 stitches evenly between each of the marker threads (i.e. 16 stitches increased in addition to the 8 stitches after marker threads) = 248 stitches. Switch to circular needle when there are enough stitches. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When all increases are done, piece measures approx. 44 cm in diameter (= 22 cm from centre and outwards). Work next round as follows: * Knit 31 stitches and slip them on a strand *, work from *-* the entire round. There are now 8 strands with 31 stitches. Put piece aside. Knit another part the same way but work last round as follows: * Knit 31 stitches and slip them on a strand *, work from *-* 6 times in total (= 6 strands with 31 stitches), cast off the remaining 62 stitches (place inlay pillow inside casing here). ASSEMBLY AND SUN RAYS: Now work the 2 parts together by knitting stitches from one strand on the first part together with stitches from one strand on the other part. Place the 2 parts wrong side against wrong side and work sun rays with 2 strands Paris from right side as follows: Slip stitches from one strand on both pillow case parts on separate needles and knit 1st stitch from one part together with 1st stitch from the other part. Continue like this until all the 31 stitches from one part have been knitting together with stitches from the other part = 31 stitches on needle. Work back and forth with GARTER STITCH - read explanation above, AT THE SAME TIME at beginning of every row knit the first 2 stitches together. When 3 stitches remain on row, work next row as follows: Slip 1 stitch knitwise, knit 2 stitches together, pass slipped stitch over stitches worked together. Cut the yarn and pull it through the last stitch, tighten together and fasten. Work the same way over the 31 stitches from each strand on the next 5 strands on both pillow case parts on round. Over the remaining 2 repetitions, where stitches were cast off on one part, slip the 31 stitches from strand on the other part on needle, and knit first 1 row over the 31 stitches, work sun ray the same way as before. Place inlay pillow in pillow case and sew opening shut at the last 2 sun rays with 1 strand and in one and one stitch. Cut and fasten the yarn. |
