This basic pattern made a lovely "shrug" for me, shortened, sewing together ~6 inches of the stole ends for sleeves, and doing one pattern repeat + the border around the body opening. Thank you :-)

Crochet DROPS stole with lace pattern in ”Cotton Light”.
DROPS 162-8 |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||
PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 to A.6. The diagrams show all rows in pattern seen from RS. ---------------------------------------------------------- STOLE: Work from centre and out in each side. Work 82 loose ch on hook size 3.5 mm with Cotton Light. Work 1 tr in 4th ch from hook (= 2 tr), * skip 1 ch, 1 tr in each of the next 10 ch *, repeat from *-* until 1 ch remains, 1 tr in last ch = 73 tr. Continue to work as follows: A.1 over the first 6 tr, A.2 10 times in width, A.3 over the last 7 tr (= 1st row in diagram). Continue working diagram back and forth. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION! When entire diagram has been worked 1 time vertically, repeat A.X until piece measures 68 cm - adjust to finish after 6th row in A.X. Now work an edge as follows (work from row with arrow): A.4, A.5 4 times in width, A.6 (Turn with 1 ch). When entire diagram has been worked, one half of stole is done and piece measures approx. 74 cm. Now work the other side of stole. Fasten the strand with 1 sl st in the other side of the first ch worked and continue like 1st row in diag the same way as first part. Adjust length after the first part. |
