GARTER ST (back and forth on needle): K all rows. PATTERN: See diagram M.1 - pattern in diagram is seen from RS – first row = RS. DECREASING TIP-1 (applies to body piece): Make all dec from RS! Dec as follows AFTER 1 edge st and AFTER first repeat of M.1: slip 1 st as if to K, K1, psso. Dec as follows BEFORE second repeat of M.1 and BEFORE 1 edge st: K2 tog. DECREASING TIP-2 (applies to neck): Make all dec from RS! Dec as follows AFTER 4 garter sts: slip 1 st as if to K, K1, psso. Dec as follows BEFORE 4 garter sts: K2 tog. INCREASING TIP: Inc from RS in the stocking st section between the 2 repeats of M.1 by making 1 YO AFTER the first and BEFORE the last stocking st section. P YO into back of loop on next row to avoid a hole. -------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------- BACK PIECE: Worked back and forth on needle. Cast on 118-128-138-148-158-168 sts (includes 1 edge st each side) on needle size 3.5 mm with Muskat. Work 4 rows GARTER ST – see above! Continue as follows (first row = RS): 1 edge st in garter st, 16-20-24-28-31-34 stocking sts, M.1 (= 26 sts), 32-34-36-38-42-46 stocking sts, M.1 (= 26 sts), 16-20-24-28-31-34 stocking sts and 1 edge st in garter st. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When piece measures approx 15-16-17-18-19-20 cm (adjust to after a full repeat of M.1) dec 4 sts in total on next row from RS – SEE DECREASING TIP-1! Repeat the dec on every 10th row (i.e. on first row in M.1) a total of 10 times = 78-88-98-108-118-128 sts. Piece now measures approx 45-46-47-48-49-50 cm. When piece measures 49-50-51-52-53-54 cm inc 2 sts on next row from RS - SEE INCREASING TIP! Repeat the inc on every 6th row a total of 7 times = 92-102-112-122-132-142 sts. ARMHOLE: When piece measures 66-67-68-69-70-71 cm cast off for armhole each side at the beg of every row: 4 sts 1 time (for all sizes), 3 sts 0-0-1-2-2-3 times, 2 sts 1-2-2-3-4-4 times and 1 st 1-3-4-3-4-4 times = 78-80-82-84-88-92 sts (all sts on the outside of M.1 each side are now cast off). Continue in M.1 and stocking st on the middle 26-28-30-32-36-40 sts. NECK: When piece measures 81-83-85-87-89-91 cm work 4 rows garter st on the middle 26-28-30-32-36-40 sts (work remaining sts in M.1 as before), then cast off the middle 18-20-22-24-28-32 sts for neck and complete each shoulder (= 30 sts for all sizes) separately. Continue in M.1 and 4 sts towards neckline in garter st until piece measures approx 84-86-88-90-92-94 cm (adjust to a full repeat of M.1), cast off. FRONT PIECE: Cast on and work like back piece until piece measures approx 61-62-63-64-65-66 cm (adjust so that next row is from RS). Work 4 rows garter st on the middle 8 sts (with remaining sts as before). Now divide piece mid front for V-neck and slip sts on right side of piece on a stitch holder. LEFT SIDE: NECK: Continue with 4 garter st towards neck and remaining sts as before, AT THE SAME TIME on next row from RS dec 1 st towards neck – SEE DECREASING TIP-2 – and repeat the dec on every 4th row a total of 5-6-7-8-10-12 times and then on every 6th row a total of 4 times for all sizes. ARMHOLE: AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 66-67-68-69-70-71 cm cast off for armhole at the side as described for back piece. When all dec for armhole and neck are complete there are 30 sts left on shoulder. Continue in M.1 with 4 sts towards neck in garter st until piece measures approx 84-86-88-90-92-94 cm (adjust to a full repeat of M.1 as on back piece), cast off. RIGHT SIDE: Slip sts from stitch holder back on needle and work like left side, but mirrored – NOTE: Beg mid front by picking up 1 st in first st on the left side and work this tog with first st on needle in order to avoid a notch mid front. SLEEVE: Worked back and forth on needle. Cast on 72-76-80-84-90-96 sts (includes 1 edge st each side) on needle size 3.5 mm with Muskat. Work 4 rows garter st and then continue in stocking st. When piece measures 2 cm cast off for sleeve cap each side at beg of every row: 4 sts 1 time, 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 3 times, 1 st 3-5-6-8-9-11 times, then 2 sts each side until piece measures 9-10-11-12-13-14 cm, now cast off 3 sts 1 time each side and cast off remaining sts. Piece measures approx 10-11-12-13-14-15 cm. ASSEMBLY: Sew shoulder seams. Set in sleeves inside 1 edge st and sew sleeve and side seams inside 1 edge st. |
