GARTER ST (back and forth on needle): K all rows. DECREASING TIP (applies to neckline): Make all dec from RS inside 3 garter sts. Dec as follows after 3 garter sts: Slip 1 st as if to K, K1, psso. Dec as follows before 3 garter sts: K2 tog. INCREASING TIP (applies to front piece): Make all inc from RS! Inc 1 st by making 1 YO inside 3 garter sts. On next row P YO into back of loop to avoid a hole. --------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------- BACK PIECE: Worked back and forth on needle. Cast on 75-80-88-97-108-118 sts (includes 1 edge st each side) on pointed needle size 4 mm with Bomull-Lin. Work 8 rows GARTER ST - see above! Change to circular needle size 5 mm and continue in stocking st back and forth on needle (first row = RS). AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 3 cm dec 1 st each side and repeat the dec on every 5th row a total of 6 times = 63-68-76-85-96-106 sts. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When piece measures 18-19-20-21-22-22 cm inc 1 st each side and repeat the inc on every 3-3-3-3-4.5-5 cm a total of 4-4-4-4-3-3 times = 71-76-84-93-102-112 sts. When piece measures 28-29-30-31-32-33 cm cast on new sts for sleeves at the end of row each side as follows: 1 st 3 times, 2 sts 1 time, 4 sts 1 time and 20-21-21-21-21-21 sts 1 time = a total of 129-136-144-153-162-172 sts on needle. Continue in stocking st with 3 garter sts each side on sleeve edges. When piece measures 51-53-55-57-59-61 cm - adjust so that next row is from WS - insert a marker mid back (in Size S + Size XL insert marker in middle st on needle, in remaining sizes insert marker between the 2 middle sts). READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING SECTION BEFORE CONTINUING! NECK: K 3 rows on the middle 27-28-28-31-32-32 sts on needle, i.e. 13-14-14-15-16-16 sts each side of marker/st with marker, with remaining sts as before. On next row from RS cast off the middle 21-22-22-25-26-26 sts for neck, i.e. 10-11-11-12-13-13 sts each side of marker + st with marker (applies to size S + XL), and complete each shoulder separately. Cast off 1 st on neckline on next row – see DECREASING TIP! SHOULDER: At the same time on first row after marker was inserted cast off to shape the shoulder each side at the beg of every row: 11-12-13-14-15-16 sts a total of 3 times, then cast off remaining 20-20-21-21-22-24 sts. RIGHT FRONT PIECE: READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING SECTION BEFORE CONTINUING! Cast on 32-35-39-43-49-54 sts (includes 1 edge st at the side) on pointed needle size 4 mm with Bomull-Lin. Work 8 rows garter st (first row = RS). Change to circular needle size 5 mm and continue in stocking st back and forth on needle with 3 garter sts towards mid front. AT THE SAME TIME on first row inc 1 st towards mid front – see INCREASING TIP – and repeat the inc on every row from RS a total of 16 times (after the last inc piece measures approx 16 cm). AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 3 cm dec at the side as described for back piece. When piece measures 17 cm dec to shape the neckline towards mid front – see DECREASING TIP – as follows: 1 st on every other row a total of 10-10-9-9-9-8 times, then 1 st on every 4th row a total of 12-13-14-15-16-17 times. AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 18-19-20-21-22-22 cm inc at the side as described for back piece. AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 28-29-30-31-32-33 cm cast on new sts for sleeve at the end of every row towards the side: 1 st 3 times, 2 sts 1 time, 4 sts 1 time and 20-21-21-21-21-21 sts 1 time. Continue in stocking st with 3 garter sts on sleeve edge and 3 garter sts towards mid front as before. When all dec and inc are complete there are 53-56-60-63-67-72 sts on needle. When piece measures 51-53-55-57-59-61 cm cast off for shoulder at beg of every row from the side towards neckline: 11-12-13-14-15-16 sts a total of 3 times, then cast off remaining 20-20-21-21-22-24 sts. LEFT FRONT PIECE: Cast on and work like right front piece, but mirrored. ASSEMBLY: Sew shoulder seams. Sew 50 cm silk ribbon to the inside of the point on right front piece and sew 50 cm silk ribbon to the side of left front piece at a similar height. Sew side and sleeve seams inside 1 edge st (make sure the silk ribbon on left front piece is on the outside towards RS of piece). Crochet a chain of ch measuring approx 50 cm with crochet hook size 4 mm and Bomull-Lin at the point of left front piece (at the same height as silk ribbon on right front piece) – beg with 1 dc in the outermost st. Crochet a similar chain on the inside of jacket on the right side of piece – tie these tog at the inside of jacket. |
