Do I just continue to do SC around until the piece measures 4 3/4 without following your CROCHET INFO: ?
04.02.2025 - 16:07DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Pollauf, after 5th row continue with sc increasing 7 sts as before until you get 63 sc, then work 1 sc in each sc around until piece measures 4 3/4" from beg and increase 1 sc on last round to get 64 sc. Now work the edge. Happy crocheting!

Beware! I could not figure out this pattern. I must have printed it at the British site. Who would guess that dc and sc . . . are the same stitch. If you are in the USA make sure you print the English pattern.

In the pattern Brim Brim Step 7. Continue to crochet 1sc in every sc until piece measures (4 3/4-5 1/8)- on last round Inc 1-0 sc = 64-70 What does (on last round Inc 1-0 sc mean and = 64-70 sc ) mean. The 1-0 is confusing me also the 64-70
08.09.2024 - 00:30DROPS Design answered:
Dear Robin, it means that, when the piece measures 4 3/4 or 5 1/8, depending on the size you are working, you increase 1 stitch (for the smaller size) or no stitches (in the larger size). At this point of the hat, you should have a total of 64 sc, for the smaller size, or 70 stitches, for the larger size. Happy crochetting!

When you say continue until work measures 12-13cm. Is that diamater?
10.02.2023 - 13:43DROPS Design answered:
Hi Deborah, no, this is radius - i.e. measured from the top. The number of stitches in the round can also be a guide: at the given height you should have 64-70 dc. Happy crocheting!

Hei.

Hilsen Drops Team.

BrimBrim crochet hat pattern after row 5. I don't follow increase directions.. do I start with 3 or 4 sc? then do 2 in next sc and repeat or do I start with 3 in the place I was putting 2 in next sc? I am beginner crocheting hats Thanks in advance for help Linda
31.12.2020 - 22:06DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Schaeffler, continue to increase as before, ie on round 6, work 1 sc in next 4 sts, 2 sc in next st, on round 7 work 1 sc in next 5 sts, 2 sc in next st etc.. that way you are still increasing 7 sts on each round working 1 more sc between each increase (2 sc in next st). until there are 63-70 dc. Happy crocheting!

I'm confused!!! I printed the pattern off a month ago it showed me sc, but when I look at the pattern on-line, it shows dc. What is the correct one to use??
31.10.2017 - 16:56DROPS Design answered:
Dear Debbie, could it bethat earlier you looked at the American site (which says sc), and now you are looking at the British site (which says dc)? Both are the same stitch with different names, teh stitch which you do withouth yarn over. I hope this helps. Happy crochet!
