Don’t you mean 6 stitches 4 times not 4 stitches 6 times
21.11.2019 - 18:55DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Sturman, you are right sorry, so that you will work: *1 row casting off the first 6 sts, work to the end of the row, turn, cast off the first 6 sts at the beg of next row, work to the end of the row, turn*, repeat from*-* a total of 4 times = 24 sts cast off at the beg of each row (48 sts cast off in total). Sorry for this confusion. Happy knitting!

Final sleeve decreases is it 24 stitches each side or total of 24 stitches. Cast off 6 stitches 4 times alternating rows = 24 but I don't know if that's what is meant or do you mean 48 stitches?
21.11.2019 - 14:55DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Sturmann, you will cast off at the beg of each row both from RS and WS 4 sts 6 times, this means you have to work: *1 row from RS casting off the first 4 sts, work row to the end, turn, 1 row from WS casting off the first 4 sts, work row to the end, turn*, repeat these 2 rows a total of 4 times = you have cast off a total of 24 sts from RS and 24 sts from WS = 48 sts in total. Happy knitting!

I’m finishing the sleeve and after work measures 52cm in Pattern 4 further decreases made. Instructions say knit the rest back and forth then bind of for sleeve cap. Is that following Pattern 4 or just knitting?
18.11.2019 - 20:28DROPS Design answered:
Dea Abbe, you have to continue pattern 4 until finished measurements, ie when you work top of sleeve back and forth, continue pattern 4 as before, but read now the wrong side rows from the left towards the right. Happy knitting!

Bon tricot!

Gauge: 17 sts and 22 rows on larger needle in Pattern 2 = 10 x 10 cm Pattern: See chart (1 chart = 1 repeat). The pattern is shown from the right side. The chart is identical for all sizes. Garter Stitch, when knitting flat: Knit all sts, all rows. Garter Stitch, when knitting in the round: *Rnd 1, knit. Rnd 2, purl *. Repeat from * - *. Rib: * knit 2, purl 2 *. Repeat from * - *. Body: Numbers in () = men's sizes. Cast on 160-164-168 (168-172) sts on smaller circular needles; join and place a marker at the join. Knit 2 rows stockinette stitch and then knit rib until the work measures 6 cm. Change to larger circular needles, change to stockinette stitch, increasing 32-40-48 (36-44) sts evenly distributed on the 1st row = 192-204-216 (204-216) sts. When the work measures 11-12-12 (13-14) cm, knit Pattern 1 once, then Pattern 2 twice, then Pattern 3 once. At the same time, when the work measures 35-37-38 (40-42) cm, knit the next row as follows: Bind off 2 sts for armhole, 92-98-104 (98-104) front, bind off 4 sts for armhole, 92-98-104 (98-104) back, bind off 2 sts for armhole. Knit the rest of each part separately. Front: = 92-98-104 (98-104) sts. Then bind off for armholes every other row: 2 sts 1-2-2 (0-1) times, 1 st 1-1-2 (1-1) times = 86-88-92 (96-98) sts. After Pattern 3 repeat Pattern 4. When the work measures 43-45-47 (50-53) cm, divide the front at the center for neck split. Knit the rest of the right and left sides of the front, keeping the 2 sts at each split edge in garter stitch. At the same time, when the work measures 54-56-58 (61-64) cm, bind off at each neck edge every other row: 10-11-11 (13-13) sts 1 time, 2 sts 2 times, 1 st 2 times. Continue to knit Pattern 4 until the work measures approximately 57-59-61 (64-67) cm, then knit Pattern 5 once. Bind off after Pattern 5, the work measures approximately 60-62-64 (67-70) cm. Back: = 92-98-104 (98-104) sts. Bind off for armholes as on the front = 86-88-92 (96-98) sts. After Pattern 3 knit Pattern 4 until the work measures approximately 57-59-61 (64-67) cm, then knit Pattern 5. At the same time, when the work measures 58-60-62 (65-68) cm, bind off the center 28-30-30 (34-34) sts for the neck. Then bind off 2 sts at each neck edge on the next row. Bind off after Pattern 5, the work measures approximately 60-62-64 (67-70) cm. Sleeves: Cast on 36-40-40 (40-40) sts on smaller double pointed needles; join and place a marker at the join. Knit 2 rows stockinette stitch and then rib until the work measures 8 cm. Change to larger double pointed needles, knit Pattern 5 once, increasing 4-2-4 (4-4) sts evenly distributed on the 1st row = 40-42-44 (44-44) sts, then repeat Pattern 4 to finished dimensions. At the same time, after the rib inc 1 st each side of marker 23-22-22 (24-26) times alternately every 3rd and 4th row = 86-86-88 (92-96) sts. When the work measures 48-49-49 (52-53) cm, bind off 2 sts each side of marker and knit the rest back and forth on the needles. Then bind off for sleeve caps on either side every other row: 6 sts 4 times, bind off. The work measures approximately 53-54-54 (57-58) cm. Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Pick up approximately 106-114 sts (divisible by 4+2 sts) around the neck on smaller needles and knit the neck back and forth on the needles as follows: knit the 2 outermost sts on either side at the center front in garter stitch, knit the remaining sts in rib for 10 cm, then 2 rows stockinette stitch, bind off. Sew on the zipper and sleeves. |
