Start in the corner and work as follows: * Insert the hook from the right side through the back loop on one square, then insert the hook from the right side and through the back loop on the second square, pick up the strand and pull it through all loops on the hook *, work from *-* to the next corner, work 1 chain stitch, then from *-* along the next 2 squares. Work all the squares together like this, first in width, then in length. EDGE: Use crochet hook size 5.5 mm and colour light turquoise. ROUND 1: Work the same way as in A.1 and begin the round in the middle of a square. Work 3 treble crochets and 1 chain stitch around each chain stitch along each square (3 treble-crochet groups along each square). In the transition between 2 squares work 3 treble crochets + 1 chain stitch. In the corners work 3 treble crochets, 3 chain stitches, 3 treble crochets and 1 chain stitch. When you have worked all the way round the blanket change to colour off white before working the last slip stitch. ROUND 2: Work 3 treble crochets and 1 chain stitch around each chain stitch, work the corners as before. Cut and fasten the strands. |
