Bon crochet!

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- CHAIN STITCH: If you work outermost on the hook the chain stitch will often be too tight; 1 chain stitch should be as long as 1 treble crochet is wide. CROCHET INFORMATION: At the beginning of each round of treble crochets, work 3 chain stitches which replace the first treble crochet, i.e. skip the first treble crochet from the previous round. Finish the round with 1 slip stitch in the 3rd chain stitch at the beginning of the round. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- NET – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The piece starts with a circle of treble crochets at the bottom, then is crocheted upwards with chain-spaces. A row of chain stitches is worked for the handle. BOTTOM: Work 4 CHAIN STITCHES – read description above, with crochet hook size 3 mm and DROPS Safran. Form them into a ring with 1 slip stitch in the first chain stitch - read CROCHET INFORMATION! ROUND 1: Work 12 treble crochets around the ring. ROUND 2: Work 2 treble crochets in each stitch = 24 stitches. ROUND 3: Work * 2 treble crochets in the first stitch, 1 treble crochet in the next stitch *, work from *-* to the end of the round = 36 stitches. ROUND 4: Work * 2 treble crochets in the first stitch, 1 treble crochet in each of the next 2 stitches *, work from *-* to the end of the round = 48 stitches. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION! The piece measures approx. 6 cm in diameter. NET: Continue with chain-spaces as follows: ROUND 1: Work 2 chain stitches, * skip 1 stitch, 1 double crochet in the next stitch, 2 chain stitches *, work from *-* to the end of the round, finishing with 1 slip stitch around the first 2 chain stitches on the round. ROUND 2: Work 3 chain stitches, insert a marker in these chain stitches (first chain-space); this is makes it easy to see the first chain-space when continuing in the round. Work * 1 double crochet around the next chain-space, 3 chain stitches *, work from *-* as far as the first chain-space and 1 slip stitch around this chain space. ROUND 3: Work 4 chain stitches, move the marker to these chain stitches (first chain-space). Work * 1 double crochet around the next chain-space, 4 chain stitches *, work from *-* as far as the first chain-space and 1 slip stitch around this chain space. ROUND 4: Work 5 chain stitches, move the marker to these chain stitches (first chain-space). Work * 1 double crochet around the next chain-space, 5 chain stitches *, work from *-* as far as the first chain-space and 1 slip stitch around this chain space. Repeat round 4 (i.e. all chain-spaced have 5 chain stitches) until the piece measures 34 cm measured flat. Cut and fasten the strand. HANDLE: Work a row of chain stitches, 60 cm long and thread it up and down through the last round. Tie a knot in the end. |
