Bon crochet!

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- CHAIN STITCH: If you work outermost on the hook the chain stitch will often be too tight; 1 chain stitch should be as long as 1 treble/double-treble crochet is wide. PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 to A.4. CROCHET INFORMATION: At the beginning of each row of treble crochets, work 3 chain stitches which do not replace the first treble crochet. At the beginning of each row of double crochets, work 1 chain stitch which does not replace the first double crochet. At the beginning of each round of treble crochets, work 3 chain stitches which replace the first treble crochet. Finish the round with 1 slip stitch in the 3rd chain stitch. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- JUMPER – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The piece is worked back and forth, in sections, bottom up. BACK PIECE: Use crochet hook size 4.5 mm and 1 strand of each quality (2 strands). Work 78-84-90-98-108-118 chain stitches - read CHAIN STITCH. Turn and work 1 treble crochet in the 4th chain stitch from the hook, then 1 treble crochet in each chain stitch to the end of the row = 75-81-87-95-105-115 treble crochets - read CROCHET INFORMATION. Continue with 1 treble crochet in each stitch for 4 more rows. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION! Work the next row as follows from the right side: A.1 over 3-6-9-5-10-7 stitches, work A.2 9-9-9-11-11-13 times in width and A.3 over 0-3-6-2-7-4 stitches. Repeat the diagrams in height until the piece measures 34-35-36-37-38-39 cm. Work the armholes on the next row as follows: Cut the strand, skip the first 1-2-3-5-8-10 stitches and fasten the strand with 1 slip stitch in the next stitch - remember CROCHET INFORMATION! Adjust the pattern so the bobble-pattern is not worked outermost by the armhole. Work as follows in the different sizes: SIZE XS: Work A.1 over the first 2 stitches, A.2 8 times in width, work the first 7 stitches in A.2, there is 1 stitch left on the row. There are now 73 stitches. SIZES S, M, L, XL, XXL: Work A.1 over the first 4-6-8-10-5 stitches, A.2 9-9-9-9-11 times in width, A.3 over the next 1-3-5-7-2 stitches. There are 2-3-5-8-10 stitches left on the row. There are now 77-81-85-89-95 stitches. ALL SIZES: Read the next section before continuing! = 73-77-81-85-89-95 stitches. When the piece measures 46-48-50-52-54-56 cm, work A.1 over the middle 31-33-33-35-35-37 stitches. When the piece measures 48-50-52-54-56-58 cm, work the neck on the next row from the right side as follows: Work the first 23-24-26-27-29-31 stitches, work the next 2 stitches together. Turn. RIGHT SHOULDER, BACK PIECE (when the garment is worn): = 24-25-27-28-30-32 stitches. Work 1 row from the wrong side as before - adjust the pattern so the bobble-pattern is not worked outermost by the neck. Repeat the decrease on the next row from the right side = 23-24-26-27-29-31 stitches. Continue with A.1 until the piece measures 52-54-56-58-60-62 cm – adjust to finish after a row with treble crochets. Cut the strand and pull it through the last stitch. LEFT SHOULDER, BACK PIECE (when the garment is worn):: Start from the right side and skip 23-25-25-27-27-29 stitches for the neck. Fasten the strand with 1 slip stitch in the next stitch and work as follows: Work the first 2 stitches together, then work to the end of the row as before - adjust the pattern so the bobble-pattern is not worked outermost by the neck. Work 1 row from the wrong side as before. Repeat the decrease on the next row from the right side = 23-24-26-27-29-31 stitches. Continue with A.1 until the piece measures 52-54-56-58-60-62 cm – adjust to finish after a row with treble crochets Cut the strand and pull it through the last stitch. FRONT PIECE: Work in the same way as the back until the front piece measures 43-45-46-58-49-51 cm. Now work the neck as follows: Work A.1 over the middle 31-33-33-35-35-37 stitches. When the piece measures 45-47-48-50-51-53 cm, work as follows from the right side: Work the first 23-24-26-27-29-31 stitches, work the next 2 stitches together. Turn. LEFT SHOULDER, FRONT PIECE (when the garment is worn): = 24-25-27-28-30-32 stitches. Work 1 row from the wrong side as before - adjust the pattern so the bobble-pattern is not worked outermost by the neck. Repeat the decrease on the next row from the right side = 23-24-26-27-29-31 stitches. Continue with A.1 until the piece measures 52-54-56-58-60-62 cm – adjust to finish as on back piece. Cut the strand and pull it through the last stitch. RIGHT SHOULDER, FRONT PIECE (when the garment is worn): Start from the right side and skip 23-25-25-27-27-29 stitches for the neck. Fasten the strand with 1 slip stitch in the next stitch and work as follows: Work the first 2 stitches together and work as before to the end of the row adjust the pattern so the bobble-pattern is not worked outermost by the neck. Work 1 row from the wrong side as before. Repeat the decrease on the next row from the right side = 23-24-26-27-29-31 stitches. Continue with A.1 until the piece measures 52-54-56-58-60-62 cm – adjust to finish as on back piece. Cut the strand and pull it through the last stitch. SLEEVES: Use crochet hook size 4.5 mm and 1 strand of each quality. Work 46-48-50-52-54-56 chain stitches. Turn and work 1 treble crochet in the 4th chain stitch from the hook, then 1 treble crochet in each chain stitch to the end of the row = 43-45-47-49-51-53 stitches. Work A.1 over 19-20-21-22-23-24 stitches, A.2, A.3 over 16-17-18-19-20-21 stitches. Continue this pattern for 8 cm. Increase 1 stitch in each side by working 2 stitches in the same stitch, inside 1 edge stitch on each side. Increase like this every 8-5½-5½-5-4-4 cm a total of 5-7-7-8-9-9 times on each side = 53-59-61-65-69-71 stitches. Work until the sleeve measures 52 cm in all sizes, adjusting so you have at least 2 rows without bobbles at the top of the sleeve. Cut the strand and pull it through the last stitch. Work the other sleeve in the same way. ASSEMBLY: Sew the shoulder seams. Sew in the sleeves - see sketch. Sew the sleeve and side seams in one go. NECK: Use crochet hook size 4.5 mm and 1 strand of each quality. Start at one shoulder seam and work as follows around the neck: ROUND 1: Work 1 slip stitch by the seam from the right side, * 3 chain stitches, skip 1 cm, work 1 double crochet around/in the next stitch *, work from *-* round the neck = approx. 34-36-37-38-39-41 chain-spaces. Finish the round with 1 double crochet in the first slip stitch. ROUND 2: Work 1 round with 2 treble crochets around each chain-space (= approx. 68-72-74-76-78-82 stitches).
