When you reach the 64 cm are you stopping the cable stitches ? If I understand correctly I would knit the first 23 stitches then bind off the middle cable stitches and knit the other 23 stitches?
08.09.2026 - 17:04DROPS Design respondió:
Hi Mary, The pattern continues across the shoulder-stitches so that the smaller cables continue up to the shoulders. Regards, Drops Team.

I’m working on the pattern Gone Fishing and I’m confused. I’m binding off the front piece where you separate front and back. When you reach 64 cm it says bind off the middle 28-28 stitches for the neck and decrease to shape the neckline? Not sure what to do here. Also, can you knit the sleeves on a circular needle and when do you connect it to the body?
18.08.2026 - 21:02DROPS Design respondió:
Hi Mary, If we take the smallest size, you have 86 stitches on the front piece. You work 23 stitches, bind off 28 and work 23 stitches. Finish each shoulder separately, decreasing for the neckline as stated in the text. You can work the whole sleeve with a circular needle if you use the Magic Loop technique, otherwise you need to start with double pointed needles, changing to circular needle when you have enough stitches. The sleeves are sewn into the body to finish. Regards, Drops Team.

Hi, I would like to make this jumper using DROPS Snow in navy. How much skeins of wool would I need and which size needles would be best for the tension?
29.09.2025 - 13:20DROPS Design respondió:
Hi Estelle, As Drops Fisherman yarn (discontinued) and Drops Snow are both from yarn group E, you need the same amount of Snow as specified for Fisherman. For the smaller size this is 1100g which is 22 skiens, for the larger size 1200g which is 24 skiens. The needles used for the knitting tension are size 8 mm. Regards, Drops team.

Dag Maja,
Je kant 1 keer 4 steken af en daarna 1 keer 2 steken en dit doe je aan beide kanten.

« Dec to shape the armhole on every other row: 2 sts 1-2 times, 1 st 2-2 times = 82-84 sts. » I am coming up to 80 sts following above. Is your pattern correct for arm decrease
09.11.2022 - 15:16DROPS Design respondió:
Dear Jane, there was a mistake in the English pattern, you are supposed to cast off 2 stitches 1-2 times on each side - there are 82-84 sts left. Thanks for noticing. Happy knitting!

Cast off 2 sts for armhole, 86-92 sts = front piece, cast off 4 sts for armhole, 86-92 sts = back piece, cast off 2 sts for armhole. Not understanding where the 4sts for armhole is?
02.11.2022 - 08:08DROPS Design respondió:
Dear Jane, rounds start on one side, cast off the first 2 sts, work the next 86-92 sts (the first st is already on right needle), cast off the next 4 sts, work the next 86-92 sts (the first is already on right needle), cast off the last 2 sts on the round = you have cast off 4 sts on each side for armholes. Happy knitting!

Cable question. When we switch to knitting front and back separately, how does pattern work as it is shown from right side. How does the wrong-side work?
02.11.2022 - 08:04DROPS Design respondió:
Dear Jane, when dividing piece, make sure the cables will be still worked from the right side of piece, then read diagrams from the left towards the right from wrong side and P over P and K over P, in other words the cables stitches will be purled from wrong side and the stitches between cables are knitted from wrong side. Happy knitting!
