Janet Mccullaghs 09.09.2020 - 12:57:

Regarding Junior by Drops Design I have made the fourth and final button hole and reached 17 cm now you have lost me. It Not at all clear after starting main V with 5 stitches plained twice each Then.....?

DROPS Design 10.09.2020 - 10:14:

Dear Mrs Mccullaghs, I hope I don't misunderstand your question - in size 12/18 months, you make the last buttonhole when piece measures 17 cm, then when piece measures 18 cm, you will work 2 short rows over the 6 band sts on each side and then start to decrease for neck, this means last buttonhole is worked before decreases for V-neck. But when piece measures 19 cm, you divide work for armholes and finish each piece separately. Happy knitting!

Sue Peters 02.06.2020 - 20:09:

I’m making winter sunshine pattern no 180/15. What does “work pattern” mean in row 3? Work A1 followed by A2 then A3? And as I’ve already been working A1 and A2 do I start at the bottom row again? And where does A4 come in? Many thanks...

DROPS Design 03.06.2020 - 07:38:

Dear Mrs Peters, it means to work the 3rd row in the diagrams as you worked the first one (A.1, A.2...) you will only increase in A.2 as shown in the diagram - read more about diagrams here. Happy crocheting!

Laudrain Gisele 02.06.2020 - 18:14:

Pat Davis 01.06.2020 - 14:17:

I am knitting Warm Hug . Please explane, line 3....continue in and what i M.1. and what is a vertical repeat of M.1 ?

DROPS Design 02.06.2020 - 11:25:

Dear Mrs Davis, you have to work diagramm M.1 (read more about diagrams here), 1 vertical repeat of M.1 = when diagram M.1 has been worked one time in height. Happy knitting!

Joy 23.04.2020 - 20:57:

What is the best way to cast on stitches in the middle of a row? I am knitting DROPS / 200 / 6 Meet the Sun and have to increase 12 stitches for the under arm between the right front and back and again for the left front. Thanks for your help

DROPS Design 24.04.2020 - 10:16:

Dear Joy, you will find in this lesson, picture 11) how to cast on the new stitches under the sleeve - you can see the same step in this video (time code 6:57 approx.). Happy knitting!

Cathy Hames 18.04.2020 - 16:04:

Sorry. 2nd question re Aberdeen pattern ai-008. Neck decrease and raglan decrease isn’t clear enough. All of instructions are not complete enough. Ie. how many stitches should be left after decreases. Do keep decreasing for neck and 2 decreases before and after A1. Not clear enough and the elevation for neck isn’t complete. Ie what do you do with the stitches left after you turn. Sorry but this the hardest pattern I have ever done. Love the sweater though. Thank you!

DROPS Design 20.04.2020 - 11:52:

Dear Mrs Hames, could you please tell us which size you are working on? Do not hesitate to ask your question on the comment section to this pattern. Happy knitting!

Cathy Hames 18.04.2020 - 03:03:

Making Aberdeen pattern and cannot figure out elevation for neck - whole section before shawl collar. Turning leaving 7 stitches then 10 etc. What happens to 7, 10, 13, final 16 are bound off. Sorry find this pattern very difficult to read in English

DROPS Design 20.04.2020 - 11:51:

Dear Mrs Hames, when you work the elevation, the last 7 sts are left unworked at the end of first short row, then the last 7 sts at the end of 2nd short row and so on, ie the unworked sts are slipped on a thread. here's an example of an elevation. Happy knitting!

Hei.

Kelley Fischels 02.03.2020 - 22:19:

I can’t understand the Front directions for Drops design Dreams of Heather- 123-3 it’s binding off for the arm hole while decreasing for the neck but also working each side of the V neck separately . Stitch counts aren’t coming out right and do I do all of the bind offs exactly like the back or just complete one seed stitch repeat ? Also where it says to “Bind off by working the center 2 stitches together does that mean knit 2 tog or bind them off? So confused.

DROPS Design 03.03.2020 - 11:12:

Dear Mrs Fischels, you cast off on each side for armholes just as you did for back piece, at the same time you need to shape neck: cast off the middle 2 stitches on a RS row and continue each side of front piece separately: slip one half of stitches (= one side) on a thread/st holder to continue the other side. You will then decrease towards neck on every row (both from RS and WS) and continue armhole cast off/dec until they are all done. You should have then 25 sts left. Cast off these sts and work the second side of front piece the same way: continue cast off/dec for armhole and dec towards neck. Happy knitting!

Gemma Callaghan 11.02.2020 - 04:57:

My pattern says to "increase 2 sts mid under sleeve". What does this mean?

DROPS Design 11.02.2020 - 09:52:

Dear Mrs Callaghan, if you work the sleeve in the round, increase 1 stitch at the end of the round + 1 stitch at the beg of next round = you have increased 2 stitches mid under sleeve. If you work the sleeve in rows, increase 1 stitch on each side, inside 1 edge stitch. Happy knitting!

Lis 16.11.2019 - 21:15:

What do all of the icons mean for the patterns? I get what the crochet and knit icons are. Built the diamond? The clock (quick knit or time intensive?)?) What do the numbers followed by st mean next to the pattern description?

DROPS Design 18.11.2019 - 11:58:

Dear Lis the clock means the pattern have been added recently; and the diamond means these pattern are shown in our homepage. The number here given with (XX sts) here is applying to the number of stitches for the tension. Happy knitting!

Helen Pringle 12.10.2019 - 14:37:

I am crocheting Lovely Lily Pattern now-052-bn & on Round 21 I am having 2 difficulties. When I have completed this round I continually get 63 ch-spaces. Where it says " skip evenly over 1 dc 2 places", what exactly is meant by this. To get the extra ch-space there needs to be an increase in sts. I have repeated & recounted so many times. I made this lovely jacket in smaller size & had no trouble, any help would be much appreciated. TIA Helen

DROPS Design 14.10.2019 - 11:52:

Dear Mrs Pringle, on round 21, you are working ch-spaces skipping 2 tr between each tr, but evenly on the round you should skip only 1 tr instead of 2 and repeat this twice evenly distributed so that you get 64 ch-spaces at the end of this round. Happy crocheting!

Gail Hagen 20.05.2019 - 13:26:

I am working on lamb dance 34-1 and have a question about the A 1 and A 2 grids. “Work pattern according to A1 until 6 stitches remain on the row. Choose diagram for the correct size( which is 11 for me), work A2 over 1 stitch and finish with band stitches.” Why are the 2 diagrams separated? I would think you work A1 and A2 consecutively and don’t understand why they are separate.

DROPS Design 20.05.2019 - 14:53:

Dear Mrs Hagen, you will first repeat A.1 (= a total of 14 times in width in size 11/12 years), then work A.2 from RS, and from WS, work A.2, then repeat A.1 reading from the left towards the right. That way pattern will be symetrical on each side. Happy knitting!

Nancy 07.05.2019 - 23:51:

Trying to knit greyscale pattern, but gauge us not coming out, plus is this knit on straight needles?

DROPS Design 08.05.2019 - 08:22:

Dear Nancy, work a swatch, then block it (wash it and let it dry), then check your tension - and adjust needle size if necessary, and try again. Your DROPS store will have some more tips for you do not hesitate to contact them even per mail or telephone. This pattern is worked back and forth, you can work on straight needles or on circular needle, as you prefer. Happy knitting!

Sarah Bremner 11.03.2019 - 15:02:

Yes and still only get 204. I just dont want to rip it back a third time if i am correct. Thanks

DROPS Design 12.03.2019 - 10:21:

Dear Mrs Brenner, you should have a total of 192 sts (last row in diagram without increases) + 2 x 12 sts increased (= 6 sts increased along each side) = 216 sts - not sure where you missed the 12 missing sts sorry. Do not hesitate to show your work to your store - even sending a picture per mail, they might be able to help you. Happy crocheting!

Sarah Bremner 11.03.2019 - 14:09:

As per my previous message. It does not say to increase on the 1st arrow increase as i am doing the small size.

DROPS Design 11.03.2019 - 14:59:

Dear Mrs Brenner, oops you are right, my mistake, no increase at arrow-1 but 6 sts increased at arrow-2 + 6 sts increased at arrow-3, did you work these increases?

Sarah Bremner 08.03.2019 - 16:24:

I have been crochetting your mamma mia poncho pattern and i follow the pattern to the letter but keep getting 204 trebles when finishing the small size at the end of a1 when you have put 216. Is this a typo or shoulf i have done another increase. Thanks

DROPS Design 11.03.2019 - 12:19:

Dear Mrs Brenner, it looks like you are missing 12 sts - did you increase 6 sts on the row with arrow-1 + 6 sts on the row with arrow-2? Happy crocheting!
