Pattern says “continue until finished measurement “ buy I can’t see where the finished measurements are given

Dear Beverley, finished hat measures approx. 25-27-29 cm. But you still need to shape it - so don't worry about it and just follow the instructions in the pattern :-) Happy knitting!

Hola!

Hi, sorry but I am a beginner. Regarding the materials needed for this project, does 50-50-50g mean that you need 3 x 50g balls for this beret? Thank you
03.09.2020 - 15:05DROPS Design answered:
Dear Kathy, the materials are given in the same order as sizes, ie you need 50 g in each size (= 50 g in size S/M, 50 g in size M/L and 50 g in size L/XL) = 1 ball DROPS Melody. Happy knitting!

Buongiorno!

Buon lavoro!

Knitted beret in DROPS Melody.
DROPS 204-12 |
|
---------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN: ---------------------------------------------------------- INCREASE TIP: Work until marker thread, make 1 yarn over (= 1 stitch increased), (marker thread is here). On next round knit yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. Repeat at each of the other markers. DECREASE TIP: Work until 2 stitches remain before marker thread, knit the next 2 stitches together (= 1 stitch decreased). Repeat at each of the other markers. SHAPING TIP: Make the hat wet and carefully press out the water. Fasten the hat over a flat plate with approx. the same diameter as hat, and but the plate on a glass so that the hat is not in contact with the surface. Leave hat to dry and take it carefully off the plate. This is done every time the hat is washed. ---------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ---------------------------------------------------------- HAT - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE GARMENT: Worked in the round on circular needle, bottom up. Switch to double pointed needles when needed. HAT: Cast on 92-96-100 stitches on circular needle size 4 mm with Melody. Knit 1 round. Then work rib (= knit 2/purl 2) for 2 cm. Switch to circular needle size 4.5 mm. Knit 1 round and adjust number of stitches by increasing/decreasing evenly to 91-98-105 stitches. Then continue in stocking stitch until finished measurements. On first round insert 7 marker threads as follows: Insert 1 marker thread at beginning of round, work 13-14-15 stitches, * insert 1 marker, work 13-14-15 stitches *, repeat from *-* the entire round. Move the marker threads upwards when working, they are used for increase/decrease later. On next round, increase 1 stitch before every marker thread – read INCREASE TIP. Increase like this every 4th round 4 times in total = 119-126-133 stitches. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! Work until piece measures 12-13-14 cm. On next round, decrease 1 stitch before every marker thread – read DECREASE TIP. Decrease like this every other round 15-16-17 times in total = 14 stitches remain. Knit all stitches together 2 by 2 = 7 stitches. Cut the yarn and pull it through the remaining stitches, tighten together and fasten. Hat measures approx. 25-27-29 cm. Read SHAPING TIP. |
