Hello Drops, I have found a store that carries the Drops Karisma, but I'm having an issue with finding the Drops Safran Egyptian Cotton. Can I knit this pattern omitting the Cotton. Love Drops patterns. Thanks Maggie

Dear Maggie, this jumper is worked with 1 strand Karisma + 1 strand Cotton Viscose or Safran held together as there were just one strand - if you work only Karisma, tension won't match and finished measurements won't work neither. Find DROPS stores in/shipping to Canada here. Happy knitting!

Would it be possible to knit this pattern in double knit yarn but on needles that would obtain the correct gauge? I'm a beginner and really like this pattern but live in South Africa and feel the equivalent yarn maybe too heavy for our winter climate.

Bon tricot!
