Waarom moet ik bij het voorpand op 36 gaan minderen voor het armsgat en bij het achterpand op 45 cm? De achterkant is toch even lang als het voorpand?

Could you please clarify the total quantity needed of each colour of yarn in this pattern? It appears to me that I could possibly need a total of 850 grams of just the light blue violet if I add up the five amounts of 150, 150, 150, 200 and 200. That’s 17x50 gram balls of just the one colour....add in the other 3 main colours plus the two neutral yarns, it could be very costly to knit. I’m sure I must be confused. Thank you

Dear Denise, the sweater is vailable in sizes S - M - L - XL - XXL, and for amounts given for each size, divided by a day. This Size S needs 150 gramms from teh light blue violet, sime M 150 gramm, size L 150 gramms, size XL 200 grams, and size XXL also 200 grams. The same is valid for the other colors. And this goes for every data (amounts of yarns or stitchnumbers, or measurements. The first is always for the smallest size, the last for the biggest size. Happy Kitting!

I’ve not had a lot of experience knitting garments. I am wondering how to read the quantity needed for each colour in this pattern.

Gauge: 12 sts x 15 rows = 10 x 10 cm on larger needles in stockinette st. Seed Stitch (on an even number of sts): Row 1: * K 1, P 1 * Row 2: * P 1, K 1 * Repeat Rows 1 2. Pattern: See chart. The entire pattern is knit in stockinette st with 3 strands of yarn. Front: Read the entire section before knitting: Cast on 51-55-59-65-69 sts on smaller needles with 1 strand light blue violet Safran, 1 strand denim blue Safran + 1 strand light beige Cotton Viscose (3 strands). Knit 5 rows seed st, change to larger needles and stockinette st and follow Pattern on chart. After Pattern continue in the colors of last stripe. When the piece measures 12 cm inc 1 st at each side every 6-6-6-10-10 cm a total of 3-3-3-2-2 times = 57-61-65-69-73 sts. Neck split: When the piece measures 33-35-37-39-41 cm knit seed st over the center 11 sts. After 5 rows bind off the center st and knit each side separately. Put half the sts on a st holder. 1st side: Continue in Pattern keeping 5 sts in seed st at the neck edge. Armhole: When the piece measures 35-36-37-38-39 cm bind off for armhole at the side every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 0-1-2-3-3 times and 1 st 3-3-2-2-3 times. Neck: When the piece measures 47-49-50-52-53 cm put 5 sts at the center front on a st holder for the neck. Then bind off at neck edge every other row: 2 sts 1 time and 1 st 4 times. After all armhole and neck shaping is complete, 11-11-12-12-13 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 55-57-59-61-63 cm. 2nd side: Put sts back on needles and knit the same as first side, reversing shaping. Begin first row from center front. Start by picking up 1 st in the bound off st and knit this together with the 1st st. This reinforces the lower edge of the neck split. Back: Cast on and knit the same as the front, omitting neck split/shaping. Bind off for armhole as on front = 45-45-47-47-49 sts. When the piece measures 53-55-57-59-61 cm bind off the center 21 sts for the neck. On the next row dec 1 st at each neck edge = 11-11-12-12-13 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 55-57-59-61-63 cm. Sleeve: Cast on 30-30-32-32-34 sts on smaller needles with 1 strand light blue violet Safran, 1 strand denim blue Safran and 1 strand light beige Cotton Viscose. Knit 5 rows seed st, change to larger needles and stockinette st, following Pattern on chart. After Pattern continue in colors of last stripe. At the same time when the piece measures 10 cm inc 1 st at each side every 5.5-4-4-3.5-3.5 cm a total of 7-9-9-10-10 times = 44-48-50-52-54 sts. When sleeve measures 47-46-45-44-44 cm bind off for sleeve cap at each side every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 2 times and 1 st 0-1-2-4-4 times, then bind off 2 sts at each side until the piece measures 54-55-55-56-56 cm, then bind off 3 sts at each side 1 time. The piece measures approx. 55-56-56-57-57 cm, bind off the remaining sts. Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Neckband: Pick up approx. 58-64 sts around the neck (incl. sts on st holders) on smaller needles with the same colors used last. Knit 4 rows seed st, bind off in pattern. Sew in sleeves. Sew sleeve and side seams using edge sts as a seam allowance. |
