Grazie
16.10.2025 - 01:15DROPS Design answered:
Hi Bianca, there is a mistake there. It should be: 'Passare ai ferri a doppia punta n° 3 mm. Lavorare a maglia rasata e diminuire..'. We will correct it. Thank you. Happy knitting!

Pozdrawiamy!

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- HEEL DECREASES: ROW 1 (= right side): Knit until there are 7-7-7 stitches left, slip 1 stitch knit-wise, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch, turn. ROW 2 (= wrong side): Purl until there are 7-7-7 stitches left, slip 1 stitch purl-wise, purl 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the purled stitch, turn. ROW 3 (= right side): Knit until there are 6-6-6 stitches left, slip 1 stitch knit-wise, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch, turn. ROW 4 (= wrong side): Purl until there are 6-6-6 stitches left, slip 1 stitch purl-wise, purl 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the purled stitch, turn. Continue to decrease like this, working until there is 1 stitch less each time before slipping a stitch and until there are 14-16-18 stitches left. DECREASE TIP (for toe): Start 2 stitches before the marker, knit 2 together, (marker sits here), knit 2 twisted together (2 stitches decreased). Repeat at the other marker. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- SOCKS - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The piece is worked in the round, top down. SOCK: Cast on 70-76-80 stitches on double pointed needles size 3 mm and DROPS Nord. Change to double pointed needles size 2.5 mm. Work rib in the round (knit 1, purl 1) for 5-5-5 cm. Change to double pointed needles size 3 mm. Work in stocking stitch and decrease 6-6-4 stitches evenly on the first round = 64-70-76 stitches. When the leg measures 7-7-7 cm, decrease at the beginning and end of the round as follows (mid-back): Knit 1, knit 2 together, knit until there are 3 stitches left on the round, knit 2 twisted together, knit 1 (2 decreased stitches). Repeat these decreases every 1½-1-1 cm a total of 5-7-9 times = 54-56-58 stitches. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! Work stocking stitch until the leg measures 15-16-17 cm from the cast-on edge. Keep the first 13-14-15 stitches on the needles, place the next 28-28-28 stitches on 1 thread (top of foot), keep the last 13-14-15 stitches on the needles = 26-28-30 heel stitches. Work stocking stitch back and forth for 6-6½-7 cm. Insert 1 marker in the middle of the row – the foot is measured from here. Work HEEL DECREASES - read description above! After the heel decreases, knit up 16-17-18 stitches on each side of the heel and place the 28-28-28 stitches from the thread back on the needles = 74-78-82 stitches. Insert 1 marker-thread on each side of the 28-28-28 stitches on top of the foot. Continue with stocking stitch and decrease on each side as follows: Knit twisted together the last 2 stitches before the first marker-thread (i.e., work the back loop instead of the front) and knit together the first 2 stitches after the second marker-thread. Decrease like this every 2nd round 12-12-12 times = 50-54-58 stitches. Continue working until the foot measures 19-22-25 cm from the marker on the heel (5-5-5 cm left to finished length). Insert 1 marker-thread in each side, with 26-28-28 stitches on top of the foot and 24-26-28 stitches underneath. Decrease on each side of both marker-threads - read DECREASE TIP! Repeat the decreases every 2nd round 7-6-7 times, then every round 3-5-4 times = 10-10-12 stitches. On the next round, * knit 2 together *, work from *-* to the end of round. Cut the strand, pull it through the remaining stitches, tighten and fasten well. Work the other sock in the same way. |
