Mvh DROPS Design

Increasing tips: Inc inside the 4 edge sts each side as follows: Make a yo. On the returning row twist and knit the yo to avoid a hole. New sts are knitted in stocking sts. Front piece: Cast on 44-47-50-56-62 sts (incl. of 1 edge st each side) on circular needle size 9 mm in Vienna. Knit in Rib as follows: Size S +L + XL + XXL: 1 edge st, *K3, P3*, repeat from *-* and finish with 1 edge st. Size M: 1 edge st, *K3, P3*, repeat from *-* and finish with K3 and 1 edge st. When the piece measures 4 cm continue in stocking sts until finished. At the same time on the 1st row of stocking sts adjust the number of sts to 42-46-50-55-60. When the piece measures 6-6-6-8-8 cm dec 1 st each side. Repeat the dec for size S + M + L when the piece measures 11 cm = 38-42-46-53-58 sts. When the piece measures 32-33-34-35-36 cm knit the 4 outermost sts each side in garter sts (knit other sts as before). At the same time inc 1 st for the wide shoulder each side on every 2.5-2.5-3-5-7 cm a total of 7-7-6-4-3 times – read increasing tips. At the same time when the piece measures 46-48-50-52-54 cm cast off the centre 8-8-8-9-10 sts for the neck. Continue to cast off for the neck at each side on every other row: 2 sts 1 time and 1 st 2 times = 21-23-24-24-25 sts left for each shoulder. Continue to knit until the piece measures 50-52-54-56-58 cm. Cast off the outermost 10-11-12-12-12 sts from the shoulder towards the neck = 11-12-12-12-13 sts left on needle. Neck: Pick up approx. 42-48 sts (divisible with 6) around the neck on needle size 9 mm in Vienna. Knit 2 rows of garter sts beginning from the WS. Continue to knit Rib K3, P3 making sure to have 3 K sts at the centre front. When the neck measures 11-12-12-13-13 cm cast off loosely with K over K and P over P. |
