Thank you! Last question, the middle st is it on the front or on the back?

Dear Fannie, I'm not sure about your question, the mid 12-22 sts you slip on a thread for neck are the mid front sts. Happy knitting!

Thank you but I'm not sure about this part too. . At the same time, when piece measures 69-72-75-78-81 cm put the middle 12-14-16-20-22 sts on a thread for neck and dec 1 st on neckline on next row. After all dec for raglan and neck are complete = 50-52-54-58-60 sts left. Why do we have to put on a thread? And the 20 st, is it on the front? And all the dec. are they supposed to be done at this point? I' m a little bit lost.

Dear Fannie, when you have all sts on the needle (yoke), you will dec for the raglan as stated (= 8 dec per round), every 4th round then every other round (see size for how many times). While shaping raglan and decreasing, you will put the middle sts on a thread (or st holder) and continue back and forth on the remaining sts, decreasing at the same time for neckline + continuing shaping raglan as stated if not finished yet. Happy Knitting !

I don't understand the last part. When I finish the raglan i have 80 st and I don't understand what am I supposed to do after. Please I need help!

Dear Fannie, you should dec 8 sts per round for raglan - as stated, but at the same time, when piece measures 69-81 cm (see size), you have to start dec for neckline. You should have 50-60 sts (see size) left when all dec raglan + neckline are done. Happy knitting !

16+16+32+16+16 = 96 You start at one side, have 16 sts between markers mid front, oter size is in the middle of the 32, 16 sts mid back. The numbers in the pattern is correct.

My comment is the same as the previous persons, the middle set of sts when marking is written wrong still on the UK pattern, it should be 32 and not 16 sts to make up the correct number of sts.

Knitting Tension: 10 sts x 14 rows on needle size 9 mm in stocking sts = 10 x 10 cm Rib: *K4, P4*, repeat from *-*. Decreasing tips (applies to raglan): All dec are done from the RS. Dec as follows (beg 2 sts before the marking thread): K2 tog, marking thread, slip 1 st as if to knit, K1, psso Knitting: If your knitting tension doesn’t match vertically, i.e. it’s too tight, the raglan will become too short and the armhole too small. You may compensate for this by knitting random rows without dec between the rounds with decreases. Back and front piece: The dress is knitted round on circular needles. Cast on 96-104-112-128-136 sts on circular needle size 9 mm with Ull-Flame. Knit 6 cm Rib and then continue in stocking sts. Knit 16-17-18-21-23 sts, insert a marking thread, knit 16-18-20-22-22 sts, insert a second marking thread, knit 32-34-36-42-46 sts, insert a third marking thread, knit 16-18-20-22-22 sts, insert a forth marking thread and knit the remaining 16-17-18-21-23 sts. When piece measures 10 cm dec 1 st before the first and third marking thread and 1 st after the second and fourth marking thread (= 4 dec per round). Repeat the dec on every 5-5-5½-5-5 cm a total of 6-6-6-7-7 times = 72-80-88-100-108 sts on round. When piece measures 43-44-45-47-48 cm inc1 st before the first and third marking thread and 1 st after the second and fourth marking thread - inc by picking up st from previous row and knit this. Repeat the inc on every 5 cm a total of 3 times = 84-92-100-112-120 sts on round. Remove the marking threads after the last inc. When piece measures 57-59-61-63-65 cm insert a marking thread each side (= 42-46-50-56-60 sts between marking threads). On next round cast off 6 sts each side (i.e 3 sts on each side of marking threads) = 36-40-44-50-54 sts left on front and back piece respectively. Put the piece aside and knit the sleeves. Sleeves: Cast on 24-24-24-32-32 sts on double pointed needles size 9 mm with Ull-Flame and knit 6 cm Rib. Continue in stocking sts, at the same time adjusting number of sts to 22-24-26-28-30 on the first round. When sleeve measures 10 cm inc 2 sts mid under arm on every 7 cm a total of 6 times = 34-36-38-40-42 sts. When sleeve measures 53-53-52-52-51 cm cast off 6 sts mid under arm for armhole = 28-30-32-34-36 sts left. Knit another sleeve. Yoke: Put sleeves in on the same circular needle as back and front pieces where you cast off for armholes = 128-140-152-168-180 sts. Insert a marking thread in all transitions between sleeves and body pieces = 4 marking threads. Knit 2-2-1-0-0 rounds before starting the raglan dec. Now dec for raglan on both sides of each marking thread (= 8 dec per round) – see Decreasing tips - on every 4th row 2 times and on every other row 6-7-8-9-10 times. At the same time, when piece measures 69-72-75-78-81 cm put the middle 12-14-16-20-22 sts on a thread for neck and dec 1 st on neckline on next row. After all dec for raglan and neck are complete = 50-52-54-58-60 sts left. Neck: Now pick up approx 14 to 24 sts round the front neckline (incl sts on thread) on double pointed needles size 9 mm with Ull-Flame = approx 64 to 84 sts. Purl 1 row and knit 1 round whilst adjusting number of sts to 48-48-56-56-56. Knit 4 cm Rib and cast off loosely in Rib. Assembly: Sew the openings under the arms. Buttons: Sew on 3 buttons for decoration purposes along the raglan dec on left front 3-9 and 15 cm from the neckline. |
