A equipa DROPS

05.05.2026 - 20:25DROPS Design answered:
Bonjour Eva, les diminutions en S, M et L se font ainsi: on part de 59-66-73 m pour le devant, en M, on va diminuer 4x3 m - 12 m (rangs 1 et 2)x4 = il reste 59-54-73 m. On diminue ensuite 22-18-29 fois 2 m= il reste 15-18-15 m (soit 59-54-73 m -44-36-58 diminutions), on diminue encore 2-5-2 fois 1 m= il reste 13 m dans ces tailles. Bon tricot!

29.04.2026 - 08:26DROPS Design answered:
Dear Brenda, the eyelet row should be still worked from RS not from WS to continue the pattern as before. If your next row from RS shouldn't be that eyelet row rather cut the yarn to start again from the appropriate side and let the pattern continue as before. Happy knitting!

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- PATTERN: See diagram A.1. The diagram shows all rows from the right side. NOTE: When there are too few stitches to increase and decrease in the lace pattern, work stocking stitch across these stitches until they are gone. 2 STITCHES I-CORD: BEGINNING OF ROW: Slip 1 stitch purl-wise with the strand in front, knit 1. END OF ROW: Slip 1 stitch purl-wise with the strand in front, knit 1. Work in the same way from both the right and wrong side. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- TOP - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The piece is worked in the round, bottom up as far as the armholes, then divided and the front and back pieces are finished separately, back and forth. The straps on the front piece are sewn to the cast-off edge on the back piece. If there is a «0» in your chosen size, skip the information and go straight to the next instruction. BODY: Cast on 238-252-280-308-336-364-406 stitches with circular needle size 3 mm and DROPS Safran eller DROPS Magic. The body is worked in the round with PATTERN – see explanation above, as follows: Insert 1 marker-thread at the beginning of the round, work A.1 (7 stitches) 34-36-40-44-48-52-58 times on the round. Remember to maintain the knitting tension. Work until the piece measures 26-28-29-30-31-32-33 cm, with the last round either round 1 or 3 in A.1. On the next round cast off for the armholes as follows: Cast off 0-7-7-7-21-21-28 stitches (0-1-1-1-3-3-4 repeats of A.1 cast off under the sleeve), work the next 119-119-133-147-147-161-175 stitches in pattern as before (17-17-19-21-21-23-25 repeats of A.1 for the front piece), cast off 0-7-7-7-21-21-28 stitches (0-1-1-1-3-3-4 repeats of A.1 cast off under the sleeve), work the next 119-119-133-147-147-161-175 stitches in pattern as before (17-17-19-21-21-23-25 reports of A.1 for the back piece). The front and back pieces are finished separately, back and forth. BACK PIECE: = 119-119-133-147-147-161-175 stitches. Work the first row from the wrong side as follows: Purl 2, purl 2 together, continue the pattern until there are 4 stitches left (remember the explanation under PATTERN when decreasing), purl 2 twisted together and work 2 STITCHES I-CORD – read explanation above, (2 stitches decreased) = 117-117-131-145-145-159-173 stitches. Work as follows decreasing from both the right and wrong side: ROW 1 (right side): Work 2 stitches I-cord, slip 1 stitch knit-wise, knit 1, pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch, continue the pattern until there are 4 stitches left, knit 2 together and work 2 stitches I-cord (2 stitches decreased). ROW 2 (wrong side): Work 2 stitches I-cord, purl 2 together, continue the pattern until there are 4 stitches left, purl 2 twisted together, work 2 stitches I-cord (2 stitches decreased). Work ROWS 1 and 2 a total of 5-5-10-8-6-11-10 times (10-10-20-16-12-22-20 rows) = 97-97-91-113-121-115-133 stitches. Now only decrease from the right side as follows: ROW 1 (right side): Work 2 stitches I-cord, slip 1 stitch knit-wise, knit 1, pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch, continue the pattern until there are 4 stitches left, knit 2 together and work 2 stitches I-cord (2 stitches decreased). ROW 2 (wrong side): Work 2 stitches I-cord, purl 1, continue the pattern until there are 3 stitches left, purl 1 and work 2 stitches I-cord. Work ROWS 1 and 2 a total of 14-14-11-15-19-16-18 times (28-28-22-30-38-32-36 rows) = 69-69-69-83-83-83-97 stitches. Continue the pattern and I-cord, without further decreases until the piece measures 38-40-42-44-46-48-50 cm from the cast-on edge. Cast off. FRONT PIECE: = 119-119-133-147-147-161-175 stitches. The mid-stitch on the front piece is the mid-stitch in A.1. Work the first row from the wrong side as follows: Purl 2, purl 2 together, continue the pattern across the next 53-53-60-67-67-74-81 stitches, place the next 2 stitches on a cable needle held at the back of the piece, purl 2, purl 2 stitches in the next stitch (working through both the front and back loops = 1 increased stitch), purl the 2 stitches from the cable needle, continue the pattern until there are 4 stitches left, purl 2 twisted together, work 2 stitches I-cord = 118-118-132-146-146-160-174 stitches. The left and right front pieces are finished separately. LEFT FRONT PIECE: Turn and work the 59-59-66-73-73-80-87 stitches from the left front piece, while decreasing both for the V-neck and the armhole. Place the other 59-59-66-73-73-80-87 stitches on a stitch holder (= right front piece). Working the following 2 rows 0-0-4-0-0-4-2 times, you decrease for the V-neck from the right side and for the armhole from both the right and wrong side: i.e., in sizes M, XXL and XXXL work as follows: ROW 1 (right side): Work 2 stitches I-cord, slip 1 stitch knit-wise, knit 1, pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch, continue the pattern until there are 4 stitches left, knit 2 together, work 2 stitches I-cord (2 stitches decreased). ROW 2 (wrong side): Work 2 stitches I-cord, purl 1, continue the pattern until there are 4 stitches left, purl 2 twisted together, work 2 stitches I-cord (1 decreased stitch). When ROWS 1 and 2 have been worked 0-0-4-0-0-4-2 times (0-0-8-0-0-8-4 rows), there are 59-59-54-73-73-68-81 stitches. Now decrease only from the right side in all sizes: ROW 1 (right side): Work 2 stitches I-cord, slip 1 stitch knit-wise, knit 1, pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch, continue the pattern until there are 4 stitches left, knit 2 together, work 2 stitches I-cord (2 stitches decreased). ROW 2 (wrong side): Work 2 stitches I-cord, purl 1, continue the pattern until there are 3 stitches left, purl 1, work 2 stitches I-cord. Work ROWS 1 and 2 a total of 22-22-18-29-29-25-34 times (44-44-36-58-58-50-68 rows) = 15-15-18-15-15-18-13 stitches. A total of 22-22-22-29-29-29-36 decreases for the V-neck. Now only decrease for the armhole: ROW 1 (right side): Work 2 stitches I-cord, slip 1 stitch knit-wise, knit 1, pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch, continue the pattern until there are 3 stitches left, knit 1, work 2 stitches I-cord (1 decreased stitch). Row 2 (wrong side): Work 2 stitches I-cord, purl 1, continue the pattern until there are 3 stitches left, purl 1, work 2 stitches I-cord. Work ROWS 1 and 2 a total of 2-2-5-2-2-5-0 times (4-4-10-4-4-10-0 rows) = 13 stitches in all sizes. Continue back and forth, without further decreases until the piece measures 48-50-52-54-56-58-60 cm from the cast-on edge or to desired length. Cast off. RIGHT FRONT PIECE: Place the 59-59-66-73-73-80-87 stitches from the stitch holder back onto the circular needle. You decrease for both the V-neck and the armhole. Work the following 2 rows 0-0-4-0-0-4-2 times and decrease for the V-neck from the right side and for the armhole from both the right and wrong side: i.e., in sizes M, XXL and XXXL work as follows: ROW 1 (right side): Work 2 stitches I-cord, slip 1 stitch knit-wise, knit 1, pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch, continue the pattern until there are 4 stitches left, knit 2 together, work 2 stitches I-cord (2 stitches decreased). ROW 2 (wrong side): Work 2 stitches I-cord, purl 2 together, continue the pattern until there are 3 stitches left, purl 1, work 2 stitches I-cord (1 decreased stitch). Work ROWS 1 and 2 a total of 22-22-18-29-29-25-34 times (44-44-36-58-58-50-68 rows) = 15-15-18-15-15-18-13 stitches. A total of 22-22-22-29-29-29-36 decreases for the V-neck. Now only decrease for the armhole: ROW 1 (right side): Work 2 stitches I-cord, knit 1, continue the pattern until there are 4 stitches left, knit 2 together, work 2 stitches I-cord (1 decreased stitch). Cast off. ASSEMBLY: Sew the straps outermost on each side of the back piece, sewing stitch to stitch. Approx. 5 cm of the strap will lie on the back piece. |
