Brug gerne vores garnomregner. Rigtig god fornøjelse!

I knitted this sweater in Drops Big Delight "Coral Reef" - it is gorgeous! I've had so many compliments I am going to make anotherin a different shade. The only comment I would make is that, although the size came out true to the pattern, when I knit it again I will make it slightly longer as I prefer to cover all of my stomach!! Highly recommend this pattern and Drops Big Delight yarn. Can't wait to get started again!!

I live in the UK and do not understand what no of threads means? Please clarify. Is there a similar yarn to Drops Big Delight obtainable in the UK please? I use Knitting Network for purchases. Thank you. ps I am not comfortable with Captacha, blurred, often small imaes which at my age are not easy to decipher. CC UK

Salve.

Grazie mille
06.02.2020 - 08:39DROPS Design answered:
Buongiorno Simona. Buon lavoro!

Knitted jumper in DROPS Big Delight. Piece is knitted back and forth in stocking stitch and rib. Size: S - XXXL
DROPS 202-25 |
|
---------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN: ---------------------------------------------------------- GARTER STITCH (back and forth): Knit all rows. 1 ridge vertically = knit 2 rows. ---------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ---------------------------------------------------------- JUMPER - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: Work front and back piece back and forth on circular needle. Work sleeves in the round on double pointed needles, switch to short circular needle when needed. FRONT PIECE: Cast on 78-86-90-98-106-114 stitches on needles size 5 mm with Big Delight. Knit 1 row. Then work rib as follows: 2 stitches in GARTER STITCH - see explanation above - * knit 2 and purl 2 *, repeat from *-* until 4 stitches remain. Knit 2 and work 2 stitches in garter stitch. Continue rib like this until piece measures 7 cm. Switch to needle size 6 mm and work 1 row in stocking stitch while decreasing 10-12-10-10-10-8 stitches evenly = 68-74-80-88-96-106 stitches. Then work in stocking stitch until piece measures 31-32-33-35-36-37 cm, cast off 1 stitch at the beginning of the next 2 rows (sleeves are sewn in here). Continue in stocking stitch until piece measures 43-45-47-49-51-53 cm. Knit 1 row from right side and increase 10-12-10-10-10-8 stitches evenly (increase with yarn overs) = 76-84-88-96-104-112 stitches. Purl 1 row from wrong side, purl yarn overs from previous row twisted to avoid holes. Change to needles size 5 mm and work rib as before but only 1 stitch in garter stitch in each side until rib measures 7 cm in all sizes. Piece measures 50-52-54-56-58-60 cm in total. Cast off by knitting. BACK PIECE: Work as on front piece. SLEEVE: Cast on 28-32-32-36-36-40 stitches on double pointed needles size 5 mm. Work rib in the round with knit 2 and purl 2 until piece measures 5 cm. Switch to double pointed needles size 6 mm. Insert 1 marker thread at beginning of round (= mid under sleeve). Continue in stocking stitch. When sleeve measures 7 cm in all sizes, increase 1 stitch on each side of marker, increase by making 1 yarn over. On next round knit yarn over twisted to avoid holes. Repeat increase every 2½-2½-2½-2½-2½-2 cm 15-14-16-14-15-15 times in total = 58-60-64-64-66-70 stitches. Continue until piece measures 51-50-49-47-45-43 cm (shorter measurements in the larger sizes because of wider shoulders). Cast off by knitting. ASSEMBLY: Sew shoulder seam, leave approx. 26-27-28-29-30-31 cm in the middle for neck. Sew in sleeves, start where 1 stitch was cast off in each side on front and back piece and sew inside 1 stitch. Sew side seams inside stitch in each side. |
