Knitting Tension: 21 sts x 42 rows using 4mm needles in stocking sts = 10x10cm Rib: *knit 2, purl 2*, repeat from *-* Garter sts: 1st row: K, 2nd row: K beret: Cast on 102 sts (inclusive of 1 edge st eash side) on needle 4mm with Cerise. Knit 2.5 cm rib with 1 edge st each side in garter (see above). When piece measures 2.5 cm, insert 5 marking threads as follows: the first after 1st st, the following 4 with 20 sts between them, after last thread, there are 21 sts left. Continue in garter sts, at the same time dec. 1 st to the left of each marking thread on the first row after the rib = 97 sts. Remember to check your knitting tension! At the same time, after 2 rows in garter, inc. 1 st to the left of each marking thread (from the right side) on every other row a total of 10 times = 147 sts – inc 1 st by picking up st from previous row and knit it. When piece measures 10 cm, dec 1 st to the left of each marking thread (from the right side) on every other row a total of 27 times = 12 sts left – dec sts by knitting 2 tog. Pull thread through remaining sts, tighten and sew. Sew seam within edge sts. Crochet flower: Crochet 3 flowers in Snow. Turn the piece – and crochet row 3 from the wrong side. 3rd row: 1 ch, 1 dc around the 1st dc from the 1st row, 3 ch, 1 dc in the foot of 4th tr from the first leaf from 2nd row. Then 3 ch, 1 dc at the foot of the 1st tr from the second leaf from 2nd row. Then 3 ch, 1 dc at the foot of the 5th tr from the second leaf from 2nd row. Then 3 ch, 1 dc at the foot of the 2nd tr from the third leaf from 2nd row. Then 3 ch, and finish off with 1 sl st in the 1st ch from beginning of row = 5 ch-loops. Then 3 ch, 1 dc at the foot of the 2nd tr from the 4th leaf from 4th row. Then 3 ch, 1 dc at the foot of the 1st tr from the 5th leaf from 4th row.
