Trods min tidligere kommentar må jeg indrømme, at der alligevel er forskel på 218-3 og 243-26 (Model: me-265). Den nye 243-26 har en dobbelt og mere velsiddende halskant endda med en fin lille snoning. Til gengæld er de smukke ærme-manchetter med snoninger forsvundet og afløst af en løs og slasket ribbort. Forsvundet er også den smukke brede bort med snoninger forneden på sweateren. Denne bort er ligeledes udskiftet med en løs og slasket ribkant. Mvh Lis.

Hvorfor stemme om en sweater, der er opskrift på? Nr. 218-3 Ice Castles Sweater strikkes i Puna el. Soft Tweed (gr. B). Den 'nye' sweater me-265 strikkes i Merino Extra Fine (gr. B). Ellers er der ingen forskel. En rigtig retro-sweater var da bedre end 2 ens sweaters. Mvh Lis.

DROPS 243-26 |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- GARTER STITCH (worked in the round): 1 ridge in height = 2 rounds; Knit 1 round and purl 1 round. PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 to A.5. The diagrams show all rows in the pattern from the right side. INCREASE TIP (for sleeves): Increase on each side of the marker-stitch (= 1 knitted stitch). Make 1 yarn over after the marker-stitch, work to end of round and make 1 yarn over before the marker-stitch. On the next round work the yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. Then work the new stitches into pattern A.1. The marker-stitch is always knitted. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- JUMPER – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The body is worked in the round with circular needle, bottom up as far as the armholes, then the front and back pieces are finished separately, back and forth. The sleeves are worked in the round with double pointed needles/ circular needle, bottom up as far as the sleeve cap and finished back and forth. The neck is worked in the round with the short circular needle to finish. BODY: Cast on 252-264-288-312-336-372 stitches with circular needle size 3 mm and DROPS Merino Extra Fine. Work rib in the round (knit 1, purl 1) for 6 cm. Work 2 RIDGES – read GARTER STITCH in the round, above and decrease 2 stitches evenly on the first round = 250-262-286-310-334-370 stitches. Change to circular needle size 4 mm. Insert 1 marker-thread at the beginning of the round and 1 marker-thread after 125-131-143-155-167-185 stitches = sides. Work pattern as follows: A.1 over the first 19-22-28-34-40-49 stitches (finish with the first stitch in A.1), work A.2, A.3, A.4, A.3, A.2, work A.1 over the next 37-43-55-67-79-97 stitches (finish with the first stitch in A.1), work A.2, A.3, A.4, A.3, A.2, work A.1 over the last 18-21-27-33-39-48 stitches. Continue this pattern. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When the piece measures 35-36-37-38-39-40 cm – and the next round is an odd round in the pattern, work as follows: Cast off the first 5-5-9-12-16-23 stitches for the armhole, work 116-122-126-132-136-140 stitches as before, cast off the next 9-9-17-23-31-45 stitches, work the next 116-122-126-132-136-140 stitches as before, cast off the last 4-4-8-11-15-22 stitches. Cut the strand. The front and back pieces are finished separately. Place the first 116-122-126-132-136-140 stitches on a thread for the front piece and work the last 116-122-126-132-136-140 stitches. BACK PIECE: = 116-122-126-132-136-140 stitches. Continue the pattern back and forth. When the piece measures 53-55-57-59-61-63 cm, decrease 8 stitches evenly over the stitches in A.4 = 108-114-118-124-128-132 stitches. On the next row cast off the middle 36-36-38-38-40-40 stitches for the neckline and finish each shoulder separately. On the next row from the neck, cast off 1 stitch = 35-38-39-42-43-45 stitches. Continue the pattern until the piece measures 55-57-59-61-63-67 cm. On the next row decrease 2 stitches over the cable in A.2 = 33-36-37-40-41-43 stitches. Cast off when the piece measures 56-58-60-62-64-66 cm. Work the other shoulder in the same way. FRONT PIECE: Place the 116-122-126-132-136-140 stitches from the thread on circular needle size 4 mm. Continue the pattern back and forth. When the piece measures 50-52-53-55-56-58 cm, decrease 8 stitches evenly over the stitches in A.4 = 108-114-118-124-128-132 stitches. On the next row, place the middle 24-24-26-26-28-28 stitches on a stitch holder for the neckline and finish each shoulder separately. NOTE! There is now no cabling in A.4, the remaining stitches in A.4 are purled from the right side and knitted from the wrong side. Cast off as follows on each row from the neck: 2 stitches 2 times and 1 stitch 3 times = 35-38-39-42-43-45 shoulder stitches. Continue the pattern until the piece measures 55-57-59-61-63-65. On the next row decrease 2 stitches over the cable in A.2 = 33-36-37-40-41-43 stitches. Cast off when the piece measures 56-58-60-62-64-66 cm. Work the other shoulder in the same way. SLEEVES: Cast on 68-70-74-76-78-80 stitches with double pointed needles size 3 mm and DROPS Merino Extra Fine. Work rib in the round (knit 1, purl 1) for 8 cm. Work 2 ridges and decrease 5-4-5-4-3-2 stitches evenly on the first round = 63-66-69-72-75-78 stitches. Change to double pointed needles size 4 mm and work A.1 in the round - insert 1 marker in the first knitted stitch and allow it to follow your work onwards. When the sleeve measures 10-10-8-12-10-9 cm from cast on edge, increase on each side of the marker-stitch – read INCREASE TIP. Continue A.1 and repeat the increase every 2-2-21½-1½-1 cm a total of 19-19-20-21-22-23 times = 101-104-109-114-119-124 stitches. When the sleeve measures 49-49-47-46-45-42 cm, divide at the marker stitch and continue pattern back and forth until the sleeve measures 51 cm in all sizes (a split of approx. 2-2-4-5-6-9 cm). Cast off. Work the other sleeve in the same way. ASSEMBLY: Sew the shoulder seams. Sew the sleeve cap to the armhole, sew the split to the bottom of the armhole – see sketch. DOUBLE NECK: Use short circular needle size 3 mm and DROPS Merino Extra Fine. Start from the right side on one shoulder seam and knit up 106 to 122 stitches around the neckline (including the stitches from the stitch holder). The stitch count must be divisible by 2. Purl 1 round, knit 1 round, purl 1 round, then knit 1 round finishing when there are 4 stitches left on the round. Start the next round here. Work pattern and rib as follows: Work A.5 over the first 8 stitches (mid-shoulder), work rib (knit 1, purl 1) until there are 4 stitches left before the second shoulder seam – with the last stitch a knitted stitch, work A.5 over the next 8 stitches (mid-shoulder), work rib (knit 1, purl 1) to the end of the round - with the last stitch a knitted stitch. Work this pattern for 14 cm. Cast off a little loosely with knit over knit and purl over purl. Fold the neck double to the inside and sew down. To avoid the neck being tight and rolling outwards, it is important that the seam is elastic. |
