Knitting tension: 16 stitches x 20 rows with needle size 5.5 mm and stocking stitch in Alaska = 10 x 10 cm. Remember needle size is only a guide! Rib: * P2, K1 *. Repeat from *-*. Ridge/Garter stitch (back and forth on needle): 1 ridge = Knit 2 rows. Ridge/Garter stitch (in the round): 1 ridge = 2 rounds. Knit 1 round and purl 1 round. Pattern: See diagram (1 diagram = 1 repeat). Pattern seen from right side. -------------------------------------------------------------- Body: The jumper is worked in the round with circular needle and the armholes are cut afterwards. Cast on 160 (176-192) stitches with circular needle size 4.5 mm and light brown Alaska, work 2 ridges. Change to circular needle size 5.5 mm and work next round in stocking stitch as follows: * 1 stitch with light brown, 1 stitch with 2 strands: 1 strand dark grey + 1 strand off white *, repeat *-*. Then work M.1. Remember the knitting tension! After M.1 work M.2. When piece measures 39 (40-42) cm cast off 16 (22-28) stitches in each side for armhole, then increase 5 stitches in each side on next round (these stitches are to cut in afterwards and are not worked into pattern) - make sure you have a repeat mid front. After M.2 finish working with dark grey and garter stitch. When piece measures 57 (59-60) cm cast off the middle 14 (16-18) stitches on front piece for neck and finish working back and forth on needle. Continue casting off towards neck every 2nd row: 3 stitches x 1, 2 stitches x 1, 1 stitch x 1. At the same time, when piece measures 60 (62-64) cm cast off the middle 22 (24-26) stitches at the back for neck. Then cast off 2 stitches in each side on next row towards neck. Cast off when piece measures 62 (64-66) cm. Sleeve: Cast on 48 (48-48) stitches with double pointed needles size 4.5 mm and light brown Alaska, work 2 ridges. Change to double pointed needles size 5.5 mm and work next round in garter stitch as follows: * 1 stitch with light brown, 1 stitch with double strand: 1 strand dark grey + 1 strand off white*, repeat from *-*. Work M.1 and then continue with dark grey and stocking stitch. At the same time after M.1 increase mid under sleeve: 2 stitches x 13 (15-15) for S: Alternately every 4th and 5th round, M+L: Alternately every 3rd and 4th round = 74 (78-78) stitches. At the same time, when piece measures 43.5 (43.5-44.5) cm work M.3 to finished length - make sure you have a repeat mid top of sleeve. When piece measures 51 (49.5-48.5) cm divide the piece mid under sleeve and finish working back and forth on needle. After M.3 - piece measures approx. 56 (56-57) cm, now work 2 cm stocking stitch with wrong side out as lining for cut-edge on body, cast off. Assembly: Sew a marker thread down middle of the increased stitches in each side. Sew 2 machine seams around the marker thread, seam 1 = 1/2 stitch from thread, seam 2 = 1/2 stitch from seam 1. Cut for armholes. Sew shoulder seams. Knit up approx. 90-111 stitches (divisible by 3) around neck with double pointed needles size 4.5 mm and dark grey Alaska and purl 1 round, knit 1, then rib. When rib measures 8-9 cm cast off with Puddel. Sew the sleeves into the body from right side as follows: Sew alternately a stitch in last knitted round on sleeve before lining and a stitch on body after the machine seam. Turn jumper inside out and sew by hand the lining from sleeve over the cut edge on body. Crochet edge: Work with double yarn from right side with light brown and hook size 5 mm as follows: 1 row of double crochets around garter stitch edge at bottom of body (approx. 110 stitches) and sleeves (approx. 24 stitches). Then work another row of double crochets from the right side but in opposite direction, i.e. from left to right without turning piece - work double crochets in each double crochet from previous row. DROPS Mittens: Sizes: Women (Men) Materials: DROPS Double pointed needles size 4 mm. -------------------------------------------------------- Knitting tension: 19 stitches x 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm with needle size 4 mm and stocking stitch. M.4: * 2 rounds stocking stitch, 1 round purl *. --------------------------------------------------------- Mittens: Numbers in () = Men’s size.
