CROCHET INFO:
At beg of every htr round, replace first htr with 2 ch and finish round with 1 sl st in 2nd ch.
At beg of every dc round, replace first dc with 1 ch and finish round with 1 sl st in first ch.
At beg of every tr round, replace first tr with 3 ch and finish round with 1 sl st in 3rd ch.

RELIEF HTR:
Work 1 htr around 1 htr on previous round (i.e. do not work in loops but around htr) as follows: 1 YO (the way as when you work 1 normal htr), insert hook between the one worked and the one to be worked around, and up between the one to be worked around and next htr (i.e. between 2 htr and around htr), get the yarn, work the rest of htr as usual.

BOBBLE:
Work 1 tr in back loop of dc but wait with last pull through (= 2 sts on hook), work 2 tr in same st the same way, pull yarn through all sts on hook

PATTERN A.1:
ROUND 1: Work 1 ch, skip 3 dc, in next dc work as follows: BOBBLE - see explanation above, 3 ch, in same dc work a new bobble, 1 ch, skip 3 dc.
ROUND 2: Work 1 dc around ch, 1 dc in bobble, 3 dc in ch-space, 1 dc in bobble, 1 dc around ch.

PATTERN-1:
ROUND 1: Work 1 tr in back loop of every dc.
ROUND 2: Work 1 dc in back loop of every tr.
Repeat rounds 1 to 2 until finished measurements.

DECREASE TIP:
Dec 1 tr by working 2 tr tog as follows: Work 1 tr in back loop of next dc but wait with last pull through, work 1 tr in back loop of next dc the same way, make 1 YO and pull yarn through all 3 sts on hook.

3 TR TOG:
Work 3 tr tog as follows: Work 1 tr around ch but wait with last pull through, work 2 tr around ch the same way, make 1 YO and pull yarn through all sts on hook.
----------------------------------------------------------

HAT:
Crochet 79-86-91 ch on hook size 4.5 mm with Nepal and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. Work 2 ch – READ CROCHET INFO, work 1 htr in each of the first 2-2-0 ch, * work 1 htr in each of the next 6 ch, skip 1 ch*, repeat from *-* the entire round, finish with 1 sl st in 2nd ch = 68-74-78 htr.

Then work as follows: Work * 1 htr, 1 RELIEF HTR - see explanation above *, repeat from *-* the entire round. Continue like this, make sure that relief htr are worked above each other vertically. When piece measures 4 cm, work as follows:

I had no problem with the instruction on hat but the mitten is a different story. Read it so many times and still can't understand. The instruction states to crochet A.1 in most of rounds. Having A.1 pattern through out would mean the mitten is full of open space for chill air to enter. The mitten picture certainly has no A.1 pattern at all. I'm totally confused at the mitten instruction. Please advise.
