I still do not understand "7dc round ch" What ch?, where is this "ch" ?
17.07.2023 - 20:16DROPS Design answered:
Dear Lydia, ch means chain stitch. 7 dc round ch - that means you don't crochet IN the chain stitch, but AROUND it, so you get that fancy fan on the top of the slipper. Happy crocheting!

These slippers are easy to follow but they are too pointed especially if i end with the 7dc i will try doing 3 rows without the 7dc.

In your Walk on Water slipper pattern, Row 2 states 7 dc round ch and 1 sc in each of the last 12 sc. My question is what is a 7 dc round ch? Or is that your term for 7 dc and 1 sc in each sc? Thank you.

I can’t even understand how to start these the pattern writing is so confusing. What does Crochet 22-26-26 mean?

I have the correct stitch count for row 2, but the stitches required for row 3 don't fit? Where am I going wrong?
01.07.2020 - 16:59DROPS Design answered:
Dear Sophie, on row 3 you work: 2 dc in first st (2 dc in 1 dc of row 2), 1 dc in each of the next 13-15-15 sts (= 13-15-15 dc in 13-15-15 dc from row 2), 2 dc in next st (2 dc in 1 dc of row 2), 1 ch, skip next st (1 st over 1 st of row 2), 2 dc in next st (2 dc in 1 dc of row 2), 1 dc in each of the next 13-15-15 sts (= 13-15-15 dc in 13-15-15 dc of row 2) and 2 dc in last st (2 dc in 1 dc of row 2) = there are 34-38-38 dc + 1 chain in the middle at the end of row 3 worked in 1+13-15-15+1+1+1+13-15-15+1= 31-35-35 sts of row 2. Happy crocheting!

Continue back and forth with 1 sc in each st until 1 row remain before piece measures 17-18-19 cm / 6¾"-7"-7½" (measured down along one side from the top). Now work tog the first 2 sc and work tog the last 2 sc on row – SEE ABOVE (crochet remaining sc as before) = 49-53-59 sc. Cut and fasten thread. ASSEMBLY: Beg under foot by the toes. Sew tog edge to edge in outer loops of sts to avoid a chunky seam mid under foot and up along the heel to mid back on leg. Cut and fasten thread. Make 2 slippers. |
