Row 3: K
Row 4: K
Row 5: K
Row 6: P
Repeat row 1-6.
Buttonhole: Cast off for buttonholes on right front piece. 1 buttonhole = cast off 3rd front band st from mid front and cast on 1 new st on return row.
Make buttonholes when piece measures:
Size S: 30, 38, 45 and 52 cm.
Size M: 31, 39, 47 and 54 cm.
Size L: 32, 40, 48 and 56 cm.

Jacket: Worked back and forth on circular needle from mid front.
Cast on 131-139-147-155-171-187 sts (includes 4 front band sts towards mid front each side) on circular needle size 8 mm with Eskimo. Work 8 rows garter st – see above (1st row = RS). Insert a Marking Thread (MT) 35-37-39-41-45-49 sts in from each side (to mark the sides, back piece = 61-65-69-73-81-89 sts). Continue as follows: 4 front band sts in garter st, M.1A on the next 120-128-136-144-160-176 sts (= 15-16-17-18-20-22 repeats across row), M.1B (= 3 sts) and 4 front band sts in garter st. Remember the knitting tension! When piece measures 6 cm dec 1 st on both sides of each MT – see Decreasing tip – on every 3.5-3.5-3.5-4-4-4 cm a total of 8 times = 99-107-115-123-139-155 sts. Continue until piece measures 32-33-34-35-36-37 cm. Remember buttonholes on right front piece! – see above. Now K 1 row from RS, at the same time adjust no of sts to 96-104-114-124-138-152 sts (do not dec on front band sts). K 4 rows, at the same time on the last row cast off 6 sts each side for armhole (i.e. 3 sts on each side of each MT) = 84-92-102-112-126-140 sts. Put piece aside.

Sleeve: Worked back and forth on needle. Cast on 44-46-48-51-53-55 sts on pointed needles size 8 mm with Eskimo. K 4 rows. On next row cast off the first 3 sts on row, continue K across the row, at the same time inc 6 sts evenly on the next 38-40-42-45-47-49 sts and K the last 3 sts (= 47-49-51-54-56-58 sts). On next row cast off the first 3 sts and continue K across the row = 44-46-48-51-53-55 sts. Put piece aside and knit the other sleeve.

Yoke: Slip sleeves in on the same circular needle as body piece where cast off for armholes = 172-184-198-214-232-250 sts on needle. K 1 row from RS, at the same time dec 2-6-8-7-8-2 sts evenly = 170-178-190-207-224-248 sts. P 1 row from WS. Now insert 1 MT in piece. Continue in Garter st pattern – see above – (front bands worked in garter st as before). At the same time when piece measures approx 2 cm from MT dec 30-30-26-29-32-29 sts evenly (adjust so the dec are made on row K from RS) on every 5-5-4-4.5-4.5-4 cm a total of 4-4-5-5-5-6 times = 50-58-60-62-64-74 sts. Continue in Garter st pattern until piece measures 18-19-20-21-22-23 cm from MT (adjust to after 6th row in pattern). Now K 1 row from RS, at the same time dec 2-4-4-4-4-10 sts evenly = 48-54-56-58-60-64 sts. K 5 rows and cast off loosely.
Assembly: Sew sleeve seams and sew opening under arms. Sew on buttons.

Wonderful pattern! Made it myself, super easy and looks like a designer coat! I used burgundy red and it turns heads!

Hola.

Hoi Jenny!Go to "hulp", "Forums", than to RAVELY. then give in: 108-40 in the Pattern-search (right side). This drops-pattern here will be shown to you. The good thing is, look at: Yarn Ideas" than to "ESKIM"O, there are 17 projects with this wool. Good luck, I will make this jacket too and I have only 550g. Perhaps is goes!?

DROPS Design NL 04.10.2010 - 10:26:

Hoi Jenny.

Maten komen nochtans goed overeen. Zelfs iets korter gemaakt. Opgave nodige wol is dus minsten 100 ngr te weinig!!!

Drops Design 17.11.2009 - 17:17:

Lynne, it refers to the charts.

Lynne 17.11.2009 - 02:52:

What does M.1A and M.1B mean?

Trine 14.10.2008 - 10:04:

Super fin og varm! Jeg strikkede en str. L, men den var alt for stor til mig, så jeg måtte begynde forfra. Øv...Strikkefasthed!
