Oh no! I asked the wrong question. The arm section is Too big for the body and not too small.
27.01.2025 - 17:46DROPS Design answered:
Dear Tammy, you can see in the size chart that part of the sleeve will be not just in the armhole, but also over the shoulder. So the sleeve may be slightly bigger than expected, even if you maintained the knitting gauge. Happy knitting!

Sorry about being a pest. I have the sweater pinned to be sewn together, I have the back neckline and shoulders pinned. The arm section makes no sense as it does not go together. the body arm section does not line up with the body. They are too small for the arm section. Can you help me?

Hi! I have reached the portion on the front where I need to decrease 21st over the center 58st. Do you recommend k2tog in the cables? As in the cables become thinner near the top? Thank you very much!

Hi Kaelin, It is neatest if you do not decrease across the cables but evenly across the other stitches along the row. Happy knitting!

I am not sure if I did this correctly. After doing the 30 stitches in pattern I have to decrease 6 stitches evenly of the outer 18 edge stitches-then knit in pattern to the end of the row. Turn work then bind off the outer 12 stitches on the needles, then decreases 4 stiches then work in pattern to end of row. Turnover work and bind off 2 stiches then knit in pattern. The pattern looks odd. What did I do wrong? Thank you
13.01.2025 - 04:49DROPS Design answered:
Dear Tammy, you are here working neckline towards front piece, so the 6 sts should be decreased at the end of a row from WS (for right sleeve) so that you can cast off the first 12 sts at the beg of next row from RS (still for right sleeve). Then decrease 2 sts at the end of next row from WS and cast off the first 2 sts from RS (right sleve). Now work over the remaining 8 sts for last part of shoulder (these stitches will be then put aside and worked back for neck when picking up sts around neck later). On left sleeve, work mirrored = stitches should be cast aff at the beg of a WS row. Happy knitting!

The sleeve decreases help. I have 144 stitches. I am making a large sweater, and the directions make no sense. Is this right? bind off for 2 stitches every other row: 5 stitches 10 times, then 12 stitches 6 times and have 28 stitches on needle? What am I doing wrong? I cannot see a picture of what the sleeves look like. When I follow the above instructions, it takes me down to 12 stitches instead of 28. Please help
07.01.2025 - 18:19DROPS Design answered:
Dear Tammy, in the 5th and 6th size (with 144 sts), you will cast off first 2 sts on each side = 4 sts in total, then 5 sts 10 times on each side (5 sts x 10 x 2 sides = 100 sts in total) then 6 sts 1 time (only) on each side (6 sts x 1 x 2 = 12 sts), so that you get: 144-4-100-12=28 sts remain. Happy knitting!

I am at the arm hole section of the sweater. I divided the front and back sections. How do returns on each back section without messing with the right side of the sweater?
17.09.2024 - 18:05DROPS Design answered:
Dear Tammy, check on which row of the diagram you divided the body, if you divided on a odd numbered row, then start front/back piece with a row from WS ; if you divided on a even numbered row then start front/back piece with a row from RS. Happy knitting!

Merci d'avance

Bonjour Mme Kaeser, il y avait une erreur dans les motifs à tricoter, vous devez procéder ainsi: en 2ans:*12 mailles de M3, M2 (28 m), M1 (12 m), M5 (12 m), M2 (28m), 12 mailles de M3*, soit (12+28+12+12+28+12)x2=208 mailles. La correction a été faite, merci. Bon tricot!

Edit to my comment I just left- at the end I meant I only have enough for pattern 1 and 5 with 3 extras on each side (including the added seam stitch) . Thanks!
03.04.2024 - 19:44DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Freya, if you get the 28 sts + the 2 new sts for seam allowance you should just have the pattern working: 1 edge stitch (new stitch cast on), P2 ,(remaining 2 sts from previous M.2), M.1 (12 sts), M.5 (12 sts) - just as before, P2 (remaining 2 sts from previous M.2) and 1 edge stitch (new stitch cast on) = 1+2+12+12+2+1=30 sts. Happy knitting!

I’m knitting men’s S/M and on the right arm. I have cast off to have 28 stitches remaining and then inc. 1 on each side for seam. Next step says “Continue the pattern with 1 edge st, P 2, Pattern 1, Pattern 5, P 2, 1 edge st”, which adds up to 82 stitches (2 edges, 28 each P2, 12 each P1 and P5), not 30. I only have room for Pattern 2 (which is the continuation of my current knitting) and 2 edges. Pls let me know how to continue, thanks.
