EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN:
-------------------------------------------------------
CROCHET INFORMATION:
The first double crochet on the round is replaced by 1 chain stitch. The round finishes with 1 slip stitch in the first chain stitch at the beginning of the round. When changing colours on the next round, it is a good idea to change the strand before working the last slip stitch – the stripes will then be neater. NOTE! Do not cut the strand after changing colours, but allow it to follow your work onwards on the inside of the hat.
STRIPES:
The chain-stitch ring and round 1 are worked with ice blue, then stripes are worked as follows: * 1 round ice blue, 1 round spray blue, 1 round beige, 1 round off-white, 1 round sage green, 2 rounds off-white *, work from *-* onwards.
