Is it possible the A1 pattern should read make 2 yarn overs around 1 stitch? Row 1 decreases from 11 stitches to 9. Row 2 only adds 1 back. Thanks

Dear Jessica, you only decrease 1 stitch in row 1. "Slip 1 stitch, knit 2 (not together) and pass slipped stitch over knitted stitches", so you only actually decrease 1 stitch. In the next row you make 1 yarn over so you increase back to 11 stitches. Happy knitting!

For the headband please explain what you do with the stitch on row 3 of A1 that says no stitch, skip this square please? The row consists of 11 stitches and reads to me K2, P2, K1, 1 yarn over, K1, ?, P2, K2 So what do you do with the no stitch, skip this square? Row 4 is P2, K2, slip 1 knitwise, K2 and pass slipped stitch over the 2 stitches, K2, P2 which is only 10 stitches so the missing stitch is something to do with the no stitch, skip this square - but what?

Dear Mrs Azzopardi, please note that the diagrams are read from the bottom corner on the right side towards the left (from RS) and from the left towards the right from WS. This video shows how to knit such a small cable. Happy knitting!

Your count on pattern A2 is incorrect. You list a 13 stitch repeat, you pattern reads 15 count. We need to add 8 stitches for cast on. Thank you, beth
