04.12.2016 - 20:31DROPS Design answered:
Hej Eva.

DROPS 173-28 |
||||||||||||||||
PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 and A.2 -------------------------------------------------------- LEFT GLOVE: Cast on 38 sts on double pointed needles size 3.5 mm with Nepal. Work as follows: P 3, A.1 (= 17 sts), * P 3, K 3 *, repeat from *-* 3 times in total. When piece measures 4 cm, switch to double pointed needles size 4,5 and work as follows: : P 3, A.2, P 3, K over the last 15 sts. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION When piece measures 10 cm, beg inc for thumb gusset. Inc 1 st on each side of the next to last st on round by making 1 YO on each side of st. On next round K YOs twisted to avoid holes. Repeat inc every other round 5 times in total – there should be 2 sts more between YOs for every inc. After all inc, there are 11 thumb sts and 48 sts in total. When piece measures 15 cm, slip the 11 thumb sts on 1 stitch holder and cast on 1 new st behind these = 38 sts. When piece measures 17 cm, work as follows: Slip the first 17 sts on 1 stitch holder (= on top of hand), keep the next 9 sts on needle and slip the last 12 sts on 1 stitch holder (= under hand). LITTLE FINGER = 9 sts, in addition cast on 1 new st towards the hand = 10 sts. Work in the round K over K and P over P as before, K the new st. When finger measures approx. 6 cm, K all sts tog 2 by 2. Cut the yarn and pull it through the remaining 5 sts and tighten tog. HAND: Slip sts from stitch holders back on double pointed needles size 4.5 mm, knit in addition up 2 sts towards the little finger = 31 sts. Work 2 rounds. Keep the 2 sts that were picked up towards the little finger + 5 sts on top of hand and 4 sts on the under side of hand on the needle. Slip the remaining 20 sts back on the stitch holders. RING FINGER = 11 sts, cast on 1 new st towards sts on stitch holders = 12 sts. Work in stocking st in the round for approx. 7½ cm, then K all sts tog 2 by 2. Cut the yarn and pull it through the remaining 6 sts and tighten tog. MIDDLE FINGER: Slip 5 sts on top of hand and 4 sts inside the hand back on double pointed needles size 4.5 mm, knit in addition up 2 sts towards the ring finger and cast on 1 new st towards sts on stitch holder = 12 sts. Work in stocking st in the round for approx. 8½ cm, then K all sts tog 2 by 2. Cut the yarn and pull it through the remaining 6 sts and tighten tog. INDEX FINGER: Slip the remaining 11 sts from stitch holder back on double pointed needles size 4.5 mm, knit in addition up 2 sts towards the middle finger = 13 sts. Work in the round with P over the last 3 sts in the side and K over the remaining sts for approx. 7 cm, then K all sts tog 2 by 2. Cut the yarn and pull it through the remaining 7 sts and tighten tog. THUMB: Slip the 11 sts over thumb gusset on double pointed needles size 4.5 mm and pick in addition up 3 sts along the edge behind thumb sts = 14 sts. Work in stocking st in the round for approx. 6 cm, then K all sts tog 2 by 2. Cut the yarn and pull it through the remaining 7 sts and tighten tog. RIGHT GLOVE: Work as left glove but reversed. I.e. work as follows: * K 3/P 3 *, repeat from *-* 3 times, A.1, P 3. Work like this for 4 cm, then work as follows: K over the first 15 sts, P 3, A.2, P 3. Continue pattern like this. Inc thumb gusset on each side of 2nd st on round. When working the little finger, work as follows: Slip the first 12 sts on a stitch holder (= under hand), keep the next 9 sts on the needle and slip the last 17 sts on a stitch holder (= on top of hand). |
