Bon tricot!

Hello! In "Materials" I see double pointed needles 4.0 mm, but in the description I can't find where they are used.
17.01.2018 - 06:02DROPS Design answered:
Dear Elina, you work first with the small circular needle 4 mm then switch to double pointed needles when starting to decrease (= when there are not enough sts for the small circular needle). Happy knitting!

I've just finished knitting the hat. but the top of it looks weird. the last circle in stokenette stitch seems to be like a cone. not a semisphere. is that normal. and is the fitting of the hat sloughy?
27.12.2017 - 10:35DROPS Design answered:
Dear Sarah, the hat is not a beret, so a slightly cone shaped to is normal. As for the shape it is not a thight beanie type, but somewhat looser. Whether it is slouchy, depends a lot on the gauge you've knitted, and how much it is blocked out. Happy Knitting!

Hello! My stitches are not lining up on row 12 of the A1 chart. I completed row 11 with the decreases and have 118 stitches. I began row 12 with the last 2 stitches of A2 and then continued working A2 over the next 76 stitches (78 stitches total). Now I'm at A1. On the chart for row 12, there is no stitch above the very first purl 2 together, but I think there should be? It's putting me off one stitch so my stitches are not lining up as they appear in the chart. What am I missing?
26.11.2017 - 19:11DROPS Design answered:
Dear Erin, you dec 4 sts in row 11 in A.1 (starting with P2 tog), then continue diagram with row 12 starting with P3 (and then work K over K and P over P as shown in diagram) = 40 sts remain in A.1. Happy knitting!

I would like to make the hat smaller. Is the cast on multiples of 5 + 2? Do I have to make any changes in A.1 or A.2 if I cast on fewer stitches? Pattern cast on is 131. Could I simply cast on 126 or 121? Thank you

Bon tricot!
