Hallo an alle Wissenden !

Just to let you know that Row 3 is incorrect in English US. It should be purl instead of knit. You should also have a picture/video that shows how to yarn over on the purl side for beginners like me. Thanks.

Dear Carine, shawl is worked with stripes in st st in off-white and garter st in blue. 1st row is worked from WS (P all sts in off-white), 2nd and 3rd rows are worked in blue, in garter st (K all sts from RS then from WS). 4th row is worked in st st from RS (K all sts). When you repeat these 4 rows, you are "back" on WS for 1st row. Your request has been forwarded to our Video team. Happy knitting!

SHAWL: Worked back and forth on circular needle to make room for all the sts. Cast on 3 sts on circular needle size 4.5 mm with off white and K 2 rows. Then work as follows: ROW 1: Work with off white, P 1, 1 loose YO, P all sts. ROW 2: Switch to turquoise/blue and K all sts - REMEMBER KNITTING TENSION! Do not tighten yarns when changing colour. ROW 3: Work with turquoise/blue, K 1, 1 loose YO, K all sts. ROW 4: Switch to off white and K all sts. Then repeat rows 1 to 4 the same way = 2 rows in stocking st with off white and 1 ridge in turquoise/blue. Work like this until both balls almost have been used. Finish after ROW 2 (= turquoise/blue), and make sure to have enough yarn left for cast off. Piece measures approx. 80 cm measured along needle/short side. Cast off as follows with turquoise/blue to get an elastic edge: * Cast off 2 sts, make a YO and loosely cast off YO *, repeat from *-* the entire row. Cut and fasten the yarn. SHAPING: Place the piece in lukewarm water until it is soaking wet. Carefully squeeze out the water - do not twist. Then roll the piece in a towel and squeeze to remove more water - the piece will now only be moist. Place the piece on a carpet or mattress - carefully stretch it out to measurements. Leave to dry. Repeat the process when the garment has been washed. |
