Hello. I have been working the chart A1. Making the medium 132 sts. The count does not come out for me doing chart A1 two times then chart A2 one time. I have followed it numerous times and it doesn't come out. Thoughts? Not used to charts. Appreciated...

Dear Beth, diagram A.1 is worked over 12 stitches, you will repeat A.1 a total of 11 times in width over the 132 stitches. Then work A.2 = 12 sts on first row over each A.1, but on first row in A.2 you will decrase 2 stitches in the middle as before in A.1 but without the yarn overs, this means you will decrase 2 sts in each A.2 = 10 sts remain x 11 repeats =110 sts on needle after 1st row in A.2. Hope this will help. Read more about diagrams here. Happy knitting!

I have a question about the stitches indicated for the chart. I understand everything but the last one. There is a faint box defined as “ K 2 tog “ which I assume means to knit two stitches together but there is no corresponding element in the diagram.

Dear Sherry, you decrease in the middle of A.1 as well as A.2 with 3rd symbol = slip 1 st as if to K, K 1, psso and 4th symbol: K 2 tog. Happy knitting!

Bon tricot!

I am knitting the poncho Sunset Meadow. I decided to use the Medium pattern but I would like to make the body of the poncho 1 inch longer. At which point on the front and back pieces would you add the extra 1 inch? Thank you so much.
20.07.2016 - 02:59DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Thorpe, you can add this extra inc either when working flat (longer vents on the sides), or when working in the round before diagram, for example. Happy knitting!
