24.03.2021 - 11:02DROPS Design answered:
Witaj Ewo, ikona zegara oznacza dodane ostatnio wzory. Pozdrawiamy!

Knitted and felted slippers in DROPS Alaska. Size 35-44.
DROPS 223-48 |

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- GARTER STITCH (back and forth): Knit all rows. 1 ridge vertically = knit 2 rows. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- SLIPPERS– SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: Work the slipper in the round on double pointed needles from toes and over the instep, then divide piece and continue to work back and forth on circular needle. Sew the piece together mid back and felt in washing machine. SLIPPER: Cast on 10-11-12-13 stitches on double pointed needles size 5.5 mm with Alaska, let the yarn end be approx. 15 cm long – use it to tighten hole at the toe. Work in the round as follows: * Knit 1, make 1 yarn over *, work from *-* the entire round = 20-22-24-26 stitches. Knit 1 round, knit yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. Insert a marker at the beginning of round - this marker is used to see where round begins and is on the under side of slipper. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! Now insert 2 marker threads in the piece (without working) as follows: Count 4-5-5-6 stitches and insert 1 marker thread in next stitch, count 9-10-11-12 stitches and insert 1 marker thread in next stitch. Work in stocking stitch in the round until 5 rounds have been worked in total. Continue in stocking stitch, and increase with 1 yarn over on each side of each stitch with marker thread every other round (= 4 stitches increased per increase round) 6 times in total = 44-46-48-50 stitches. Work until piece measures 16-18-20-22 cm beginning of piece. Now cast off stitch for opening mid on top of slipper, work from beginning of round as follows: Knit the first 17-17-18-18 stitches, cast off the next 11-11-12-12 stitches loosely while knitting, knit the rest of row (i.e. past beginning of round, and until stitches were cast off) = 33-35-36-38 stitches. Remove marker and marker threads, work piece back and forth on needle. Purl 1 row from wrong side. On next row from right side work as follows: ROW 1 (= right side): Work 1 edge stitch in GARTER STITCH - read explanation above, make 1 yarn over, knit until 1 stitch remain, make 1 yarn over and work 1 edge stitch in garter stitch. ROW 2 (= wrong side): Work 1 edge stitch in garter stitch, purl yarn over twisted, purl until 1 yarn over and 1 stitch remain, purl yarn over twisted and 1 edge stitch in garter stitch. ROW 3-4: Work in stocking stitch with 1 stitch in garter stitch in each side. Repeat 1st-4th row 2 times (= 4 stitches increased) = 37-39-40-42 stitches on needle. Then work as 3rd-4th row until piece measures 29½ -32½-37-40 cm in total. Cast off stitches with knit from right side or purl from wrong side, make sure to avoid a tight cast-off edge. ASSEMBLY: Use a needle to baste yarn through stitches from cast-on edge (at the toes), tighten together and fasten. Fold the slipper and sew together mid back, edge to edge along cast-off edge, sew in edge stitch to avoid a chunky seam. FELTING: Place the slippers in the washing machine with a detergent without enzymes and optical bleach. Wash at 40 degrees with normal spin but no pre-wash. Put on the slipper and shape it to the correct size while it is still wet. At subsequent wash, wash the slippers as a wool garment. AFTER FELTING: If the piece is not felted enough and is too big: Wash the piece one more time in the washing machine while it is still wet add a terry towel that measures approx. 50 x 70 cm - NOTE: Do not use a short program. If the piece has been felted too much and is too small: While the piece is still wet stretch it to the correct measurements, if the piece is dry, make sure to soak it first. Remember: All subsequent washes are as a normal wool garment. |
