Hello, I have two questions: 1. Should I knit two pieces and stitch them together? I knitted one piece and it looks so small. 2. After knitting A8 should I prul (one row) and then bind off (another row)? Best, Adish
27.11.2023 - 16:40DROPS Design answered:
Hi Adish, The piece is worked in one section, in the round to the correct length. After A.8 you don't need to purl a round, just bind off on the next round. Happy knitting!

Struggling to figure out how long my tail should be for the casting on, it either gets too short or too long, can you tell me an estimate in cm?
05.05.2022 - 15:24DROPS Design answered:
Dear Catherine, if you have the same gauge, the lower circumference measures 110 cm, which is 171 sts. So this should be the estimate of the tail. If this does not fit your gauge, you would need to recalculate it, according to your gauge. Take into account that, due to the wavy pattern, the edge seems wider than the final result, because it will end up contracting as you work. Happy knitting!

Can you explain to me the yarn over process? Having trouble reading the diagram.
17.04.2022 - 19:29DROPS Design answered:
Dear Catherine, each yarn over is worked between 2 knitted stitches and then purled in the next round. For example, in round 4 of A.1 you work: k2tog, k2tog, k2tog, knit2, 1 YO, knit 1, 1 YO, knit 1, 1 YO, knit 1, 1 YO, knit 2, k2tog, k2tog, k2tog (= 6 stitches are decreased and 4 stitches are increased in one repeat). Happy knitting!

Just a simple question, I want to knit this but want it in a plain pattern instead of the wave pattern that is stated. Will that affect how I knit it or the shape of it?
08.04.2022 - 09:49DROPS Design answered:
Dear Catherine, the width is here calculated on the wave pattern, but you need more stitches in width for the wave pattern as for stocking stitch. You then might have to recalculate the pattern (we only have tension in stocking stitch here) to your own gauge or look for another pattern that fullfill most of your wishes. Happy knitting!

Please can you advise as to how I can knit this in a single colour - off white in a silk or equivalent yarn.
13.05.2019 - 16:45DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Bourn, you could replace here both yarns group A (= Delight + Kid-Silk) with 1 strand yarn group C like DROPS Brushed Alpaca Silk. Read more about alternatives here. Happy knitting!

Grazie
14.04.2019 - 15:10DROPS Design answered:
Buongiorno Michela.

28.01.2019 - 18:43DROPS Design answered:
Hei Jane. Du strikker altså slik: 2 masker rett sammen, 2 masker rett sammen, 2 masker rett sammen, 1 kast, 1 rett, 1 kast 1 rett osv. God fornøyelse.
