When your materials state the amounts below eg 100-125-... does that mean yards or metres, many thanks Materials: DROPS KID-SILK from Garnstudio 100-125-125-150-150-175 color no 08, gray blue

Dear Jan, we always state the amount of each yarn for each size in gr. This is also approximate, since we take into account full balls of yarns (for example, from 100 to 125, which would be 1 more ball of 25gr, but you may not need to use the full ball),

Se også vor video over vendepinde.

I've completed the A1 diagram for the back. What does it mean to "Continue pattern but now work A.2 over A.1."? Thank you.
15.08.2015 - 23:47DROPS Design answered:
Dear Camilla, when you have worked A.1 one time in height, you have 10 sts in each repetition, now work the 10 sts in A.2 accross, ie over A.1: 1 edge st, 10-16 times (see size) A.2 in width, 1 st in st st, 1 edge st. Happy knitting!

Bon tricot!

Dec for buttonholes when piece measures: SIZE S: 6, 13, 20, 27 and 34 cm SIZE M: 7, 14, 21, 28 and 36 cm SIZE L: 8, 16, 23, 31 and 38 cm SIZE XL: 9, 16, 24, 31 and 39 cm SIZE XXL: 9, 17, 25, 33 and 41 cm SIZE XXXL: 9, 18, 26, 35 and 43 cm ---------------------------------------------------------- JACKET: Piece is worked back and forth in parts and sewn tog when finished. BACK PIECE: Cast on 163-195-195-227-227-259 sts with Kid-Silk (incl 1 edge st in garter st in each side) on circular needle size 3.5 mm. Work 2 ridges in GARTER ST back and forth - see explanation above! Now work PATTERN as follows from RS: 1 edge st in garter st, A.1 (= 16 sts on 1st row) 10-12-12-14-14-16 times in width, 1 st in stocking st, 1 edge st in garter st. When A.1 has been worked vertically, 103-123-123-143-143-163 sts remain. Continue pattern but now work A.2 over A.1. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION When piece measures 26-27-28-29-30-31 cm from cast-on edge - adjust after one whole repetition vertically, cast on new sts for sleeves at the end of every row in each side as follows: 2 sts 2 times, 4 sts 1 time, 6 sts 3 times and 28-18-23-13-18-8 sts 1 time = 211-211-221-221-231-231 sts. Work the new inc sts in stocking st until there is enough sts for a new repetition of A.2 in width. Now continue pattern as follows from RS: 5 sts in garter st, A.3 0-0-1-1-0-0 times in width, A.2 20-20-20-20-22-22 times in width, A.4 0-0-1-1-0-0 times in width, 1-1-0-0-1-1 st in stocking st, 5 sts in garter st. When piece measures 45-47-49-51-53-55 cm, adjust after a whole repetition vertically, cast off for neck while AT THE SAME TIME working diagonal shoulder: READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING SECTION BEFORE CONTINUING! Work the first 88-88-93-93-98-98 sts, cast off the next 35 sts for neck and work the remaining 88-88-93-93-98-98 sts. Then work left shoulder as follows: Continue with pattern as before with 1 edge st in garter st in towards the neck. NOTE: Work sts that do not fit the pattern in stocking st. On next row from neck, dec 1 st by K 2 tog = 87-87-92-92-97-97 sts. AT THE SAME TIME work over sts until 1 repetition remain before the 5 sts in garter st at the edge of sleeve, turn and work back. Continue like this and work 1 repetition less towards the sleeve on every row from RS. When piece measures 48-50-52-54-56-58 cm in total, adjust after a whole repetition, work 1 ridge over all sts. Loosely cast off. Work the other shoulder the same way but reversed. RIGHT FRONT PIECE: Cast on 87-103-103-119-119-135 sts (incl 1 edge st in the side and 5 band sts towards mid front) on circular needle size 3.5 mm with Kid-Silk. Work 2 ridges back and forth. On next row work as follows: 5 band sts in garter st, repeat A.1 until 2 sts remain, 1 st in stocking st and 1 edge st in garter st. Continue like this back and forth. REMEMBER BUTTONHOLES! When A.1 has been worked vertically, 57-67-67-77-77-87 sts remain on needle. Now continue the pattern the same way but now work A.2 over A.1.When piece measures 26-27-28-29-30-31 cm (adjust after a whole repetition and back piece), cast on new sts for sleeve as follows: 2 sts 2 times, 4 sts 1 time, 6 sts 3 times and 28-18-23-13-18-8 sts 1 time = 111-111-116-116-121-121 sts - NOTE: Work the inc sts in stocking st until there is enough sts for a new repetition of A.2 in width. Now work pattern as follows: 5 band sts in garter st, A.2 10-10-10-10-11-11 times in width, 1-1-0-0-1-1 st in stocking st, A.4 0-0-1-1-0-0 times in width, 5 sts in garter st. When piece measures 35-37-39-40-42-44 cm, work the first 20 sts in all sizes before slipping them on a stitch holder for neck. Continue with the pattern as before but work sts towards the neck in garter st, AT THE SAME TIME cast off on every row from the neck as follows: 2 sts 2 times = 87-87-92-92-97-97 sts. When piece measures 45-47-49-51-53-55 cm - adjust after a whole repetition vertically and back piece, work 1 repetition less on every row towards the sleeve the same way as on back piece. When piece measures 48-50-52-54-56-58 cm in total, adjust after a whole repetition and back piece, work 1 ridge over all sts. Loosely cast off. LEFT FRONT PIECE: Cast on and work as right front piece but reversed. I.e. work 1st row with pattern as follows: 1 edge st in garter st, repeat A.1 until 6 sts remain, 1 st in stocking st and 5 band sts in garter st. When A.1 has been worked vertically, continue with A.2 over A.1. Now cast on new sts for sleeve at the end of row from WS = 111-111-116-116-121-121 sts. Continue with patterns as follows from RS: 5 sts in garter st, A.3 0-0-1-1-0-0 times, A.2 until 6 sts remain, 1 st in stocking st, 5 band sts in garter st. Continue as on right front piece and work a ridge over all sts when piece measures 48-50-52-54-56-58 cm. Cast off. ASSEMBLY: Sew the shoulder seams tog. Sew underarm and side seams in one inside 1 edge st. Sew the buttons on to left band. NECK EDGE: Pick up from RS approx. 120-130 sts (incl sts on stitch holders) on circular needle size 3.5 mm. Work 2 ridges back and forth on needle, loosely cast off. |
