Bon tricot!

Can you assist with the sewing upof the basket please. I’m not quite sure what you mean by ‘tighten together the mid of the basket and fasten the thread tightly’.
25.02.2019 - 22:07DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Batho, this video shows how to knit this thread to tighten with, but in that case, just thread the yarn in the outermost stitch in the innerside of piece just as shown in the video, then tighten thread to close the small hole at the bottom of the basket. Happy knitting!

Hello :) I like these patterns: DROPS 128-32, DROPS 144-7, DROPS Extra 0-841 and this pattern, DROPS Extra 0-767. All are based on knitting a circle using short rows techniques. So, please, could you make a video about short rows circles in the future? I like your way of explaining and your videos are clear. Thank you ❤️

Husk at kurven blir tovet.

GARTER ST (back and forth on needle): K all rows. KNITTING TIP: When turning mid piece, slip first st. Tighten thread and continue as before. This is done to avoid holes in the transitions. --------------------------------------------------------- BREADBASKET: Cast on 35 sts on needles size 12 mm with 2 threads Snow and work in garter st, AT THE SAME TIME work short rows as follows - read KNITTING TIP above - * work the first 32 sts, turn and work back, work the first 29 sts, turn and work back, work the first 26 sts, turn and work back, work the first 23 sts, turn and work back, work all sts, turn and work back *. Repeat from *-* until a total of 20 repetitions of short rows have been worked. Cast off. ASSEMBLY: Tighten tog the mid of the basket and fasten the thread tightly. Sew tog the cast on and cast off edges. FELTING: The piece can be felted either in the washing machine or the tumble dryer – read description below. Remember: Subsequent washes are as for a normal wool garment. IN WASHING MACHINE: Washing machines will vary when felting. If the piece is not felted enough, it can be felted again. If it is felted too much, it can be stretched to the correct size while still wet. DO THE FOLLOWING: Lay the piece in the washing machine, using a programme of approx. 40 minutes (not a wool programme). Wash at 40 degrees without pre-wash, detergent is optional. After washing, shape the piece while it is still wet. IN TUMBLE DRYER: Felting in a tumble dryer gives good control over the degree of felting. The tumble dryer can be opened during drying to check the size of the piece. If it is not felted enough it can be thoroughly wetted and felted again. If it is felted too much it can be stretched to the correct size while still wet. DO THE FOLLOWING: Lay the piece in water so it becomes completely wet, then place it in the tumble dryer and begin the drying process. Dry to the desired size, checking regularly. |
