Bon tricot!

Gauge: 15 sts x 20 rows on larger needles in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm. Measuring-tips: Due to the stretchy nature of the yarn, measure the garment when held up rather than flat. Otherwise, it will be too long when worn. Front: Cast on 54-60-66-74-82 sts on larger needles. Change to smaller needles and knit 4 rows garter st. Change to larger needles and knit reverse stockinette st. When the piece measures 8 cm inc 1 st at each side every 6 -6-7-7-8 cm a total of 4 times = 62-68-74-82-90 sts. When the piece measures 35-36-37-38-39 cm – read Measuring-tip – bind off for armhole at each side every other row: 3 sts 1-1-1-2-2 times, 2 sts 0-0-1-2-3 times and 1 st 2-4-4-2-3 times = 52-54-56-58-60 sts. When the piece measures 46-48-50-52-54 cm bind off the center 12-12-14-14-16 sts for the neck. Then bind off at each neck edge every other row: 2 sts 2 times and 1 st 3 times = 13-14-14-15-15 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 54-56-58-60-62 cm. Back: Cast on and knit the same as the front. Bind off for armhole as on front and continue until the piece measures 52-54-56-58-60 cm, then bind off the center 24-24-26-26-28 sts for the neck. On the next row dec 1 st at each neck edge = 13-14-14-15-15 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 54-56-58-60-62 cm. Sleeve: Cast on 41-41-43-43-45 sts on larger needles. Change to smaller needles and knit 4 rows garter st. Change to larger needles and knit reverse stockinette st. When the piece measures 28 cm inc 1 st at each side every 4-3-2.5-1.5-1.5 cm a total of 6-7-8-10-10 times = 53-55-59-63-65 sts. When sleeve measures 51-50-48-47-44 cm (read Measuring-tip) bind off for sleeve cap at each side every other row: 4 sts 1 time, 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 2 times and 1 st 1-2-3-4-7 times, then bind off 2 sts at each side until the piece measures 58 cm, bind off the remaining sts. Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Collar: Put a marker at the right side of neck - center the marker between the center front and shoulder. Beginning at marker, pick up approx. 70-80 sts around the neck on a smaller short circular needle. Join and knit garter st over all sts, keeping marker in place. When the collar measures 10 cm inc 20 sts evenly distributed on the row = approx. 90-100 sts. When the collar measures 22 cm inc 20 sts evenly distributed on the row = approx. 110-120 sts. At the same time divide the piece at the marker and knit garter st back and forth on needles. When the collar measures 32 cm inc 15 sts evenly distributed on the row = approx. 125-135 sts. When the collar measures 37 cm bind off with double strands of yarn. Sew in sleeves. Sew sleeve and side seams using edge sts as a seam allowance. |
