Sorry, me again 😅 I still don’t understand what we have to do 1st row of A2. I cannot get to 18 rows of black (much less). I do not understand how I have to skip a st, but still incr as usual like A1. Thank you for explanation on the skipped stitch!

Dear Lisa, on last row in A.1 you increased 2 sts in each repeat so that you got 17 sts in each A.1, now you increase on 1st row in A.2 - see also written pattern as follows *1 st in each of the first/next 16 sts following the colours in diagram, then work 2 sts in the next stitch (= on first round you will work the first of these stitches in black and the 2nd one in blue/violet)* and repeat from *-*. Continue A.2 changing colours as in the pattern and working / increasing as explained in the written pattern. Happy crocheting!

Hi, in A2, there are places where there is no Stitch. However, in A2 description round 1, it says "16 sc & sc incr. How do we skip these stitches then? Thanks for clarification.

Dear Lisa, that's because you are continuing the increases as worked in A.1, ie work 2 sts in the last st in each A.2 to increase evenly as before. Happy crocheting!

PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 to A.3. Diagrams show colours in pattern. 1 square = 1 dc. COLOUR PATTERN (worked in the round): When changing colour work as follows: Work last dc with first colour but wait with last pull through, switch to next colour and work last pull through, then work next dc. When working with two colours place strands for the colour not worked over sts from previous round, work around the strands so that they is hidden and follows in the round. CROCHET INFO: Replace first dc at beg of every round with 1 ch, finish round with 1 sl st in 1st ch. ---------------------------------------------------------- POUFFE: Work in the round with 1 strand of each colour. Work in the round in 2 parts and sew tog when finished. BASE: Work 4 ch on hook size 6 mm with black and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. Then work in the round according to A.1 (work 6 repetitions of A.1 in width) - READ COLOUR PATTERN. ROUND 1: READ CROCHET INFO! Work 6 dc in ch-ring. ROUND 2: Work 2 dc in every dc = 12 dc. ROUND 3: Work * 1 dc in first dc, 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 18 dc. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION! ROUND 4: Work * 1 dc in each of the first/next 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 24 dc. ROUND 5: Work * 1 dc in each of the first/next 3 dc, 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 30 dc. ROUND 6: Work * 1 dc in each of the first/next 4 dc, 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 36 dc. Continue with inc and pattern as before, i.e. on every round work 1 more dc between inc - (NOTE: On round with arrow inc 2 dc in every repetition, i.e. inc 1 dc in the middle of repetition and inc 1 dc at the end of repetition as before. On 9th and 10th round, i.e. A.X, switch the pattern colour every time the repetition is repeated to get every other 2 dc blue/purple and 2 dc off white the entire round). When A.1 has been worked, there are 102 dc on last round. Now work A.2 over A.1 - inc as follows on 1st-4th round in A.2: ROUND 1: Work * 1 dc in each of the first/next 16 dc, 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 108 dc. ROUND 2: Work 1 dc in every dc the entire round. ROUND 3: Work * 1 dc in each of the first/next 5 dc, 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 126 dc. ROUND 4: Work 1 dc in every dc the entire round. Then inc as follows from and incl 5th round in A.2: ROUND 5: Work * 1 dc in each of the first/next 20 dc, 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 132 dc. ROUND 6: Work * 1 dc in each of the first/next 21 dc, 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 138 dc. ROUND 7: Work * 1 dc in each of the first/next 22 dc, 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 144 dc. Continue with inc and pattern as before, i.e. on every round work 1 more dc between inc = 180 dc on last round. Fasten off when A.2 has been worked. LID/SIDE: Work lid the same way as base but without cutting the yarn. Then work the side of pouffe as follows: Continue to work in the round but without inc and work according to A.3 (work 9 repetitions of A.3 in width). Continue until A.3 has been worked, fasten off. ASSEMBLY: Fill the pouffe as follows (it might be wise to have someone to help you to make it look nice). Place 1 duvet (of 1400 g) or 2 duvets (of 700 g) on top of each other and pull a stretch sheet over the duvet. Push the duvet into the pouffe (make sure that the sheet is outwards). Sew tog opening, sew in outer loops of edge sts with 2 strands black. |
