I cannot find the different patterns (Pattern 1, 2 & 3)! On you photo of the socks, I want to make the ones on the left! Help please!

Dear Yvonne, the diagrams of the patterns can be found below the instructions. The diamond patten you can see on the lefz sock is at the side of the diagram. Bot socks are the same, but the model holds her feet differently and you see different parts of the same pattern. Happy Stitching!

Knitting Tension: 22 sts x 30 rows on needles size 3mm in stocking stitch = 10x10cm. Rib: *knit 2, purl 2*, repeat from *to* Pattern: See chart M.1 – M.3, the pattern in diagram is seen from the right side. Decreasing (applies to calf): Decrease as follows 2 sts before the middle st on back of sock: slip 1 st as if to knit, K1, psso. Decrease as follows after the middle st on back of sock: knit 2 together. Sock: Cast on 72 (80) sts using 2.5mm double pointed needles and knit 5 (5) cm rib. Change to needles 3mm and knit 1 round while increasing 0 (4) evenly on round = 72 (84) sts. Now knit 15 (21) sts of M.1, all of M.2, 15 (21) sts of M.3, 1 st mid back (knit this st in stocking stitch on all rounds) until sock measures 9 (10) cm. Now begin decreases for calf (see above). Decrease on every 4 (3) round a total of 12 (16) times = 48 (52) sts. Continue with M.2 and the remaining sts in stocking stitch. When sock measures 33 (39) cm, put the middle 24 (26) sts at front (= upper foot) on thread and knit 5 (6) cm stocking stitch over the remaining 24 (26) sts at back (= heel). Now decrease for heel as follows: 1st row (= right side): knit until 8 (9) sts left on needle, slip 1 st as if to knit, K1, psso, turn. 2nd row (= wrong side): knit until 8 (9) sts left on needle, slip 1 st as if to knit, P1, psso, turn 3rd row: knit until 7 (8) sts left on needle, slip 1 st as if to knit, K1, psso, turn. 4th row: knit until 7 (8) sts left on needle, slip 1 st as if to knit, P1, psso, turn 5th row: knit until 6 (7) sts left on needle, slip 1 st as if to knit, K1, psso, turn. 6th row: knit until 6 (7) sts left on needle, slip 1 st as if to knit, P1, psso, turn Continue decreasing like this (1 less st before each decrease) until 12 (14) sts left on needle. Pick up 12 (13) sts on each side of the heel and put sts from thread back on needle = 60 (66) sts (now measure foot from here). Now continue in stocking stitch and decrease as follows: knit together the first 2 and the last 2 sts from the middle upper 24 (26) sts on every other row a total of 6 times = 48 (54) sts. Continue until the foot measures 19 (22) cm. Insert a marking thread each side and decrease on both sides of both marking threads as follows: knit 2 together, marking thread, knit 2 together into back of st. Repeat this decrease on every other round a total of 3 times and thereafter on every round a total of 7 (9) times = 8 (6) sts left on needle. Cut thread and pull through remaining sts. |
