Quando inizia la parte con le diminuzioni su entrambi i lati occorre lavorare A5, ripetere A3 e poi finire con A6 (non con A4 come indicato). È corretto? Grazie

When working A5, A6 and A7 for decreases, I noticed that at the beginning and at the end of the row we don’t have a hole like we do when we are working A1, A2 and A4. Is that correct?
22.09.2026 - 22:02DROPS Design answered:
Dear Ana, you continue with the edge stitches with I-cord on each side, but the hole, which was formed by the yarn over/ increases. The decreases won't form holes. Happy knitting!

I am looking at pictures of Misty Lace blanket. I see purl stitches but the pattern says it is worked as garter stitch, which is to knit every row. Is this blanket knit every row?
26.08.2026 - 01:33DROPS Design answered:
Hi Karen, The blanket is worked in garter stitch with lace pattern. When working garter stitch back and forth, the knitted rows from the wrong side will look like purled rows from the right side. Regards, Drops Team.

31.05.2026 - 14:14DROPS Design answered:
Hei Solvor.

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- EDGE STITCHES WITH I-CORD: BEGINNING OF ROW: Knit 2 twisted together, make 1 yarn over. END OF ROW: Work until there are 2 stitches left on the row, slip 2 stitches purl-wise with the strand in front. Work in the same way from both the right and wrong side. PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 to A.7. The diagrams are worked from right to left when working from the right side and left to right when working from the wrong side. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- BLANKET – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The blanket is worked back and forth with circular needles, from corner to corner. BLANKET: Cast on 7 stitches with circular needle size 3 mm and DROPS Alpaca. Read PATTERN in explanations above and work as follows: 2 EDGE STITCHES WITH I-CORD – read explanation above, work A.1 across 3 stitches, then 2 edge stitches with I-cord. You increase on both sides of the piece. Work until A.1 is finished = 35 stitches. Work 2 edge stitches as before, A.2 across 8 stitches, A.3 across 10 stitches, A.4 across 13 stitches, 2 edge stitches as before. Remember to maintain the knitting tension. Work like this until A.2-A.4 are finished = 55 stitches. There is now room for 2 more repeats of A.3 between A.2 and A.4. Continue as follows: 2 edge stitches as before, A.2 across 8 stitches, repeat A.3 until there are 15 stitches left (3 times in width), A.4 across 13 stitches, 2 edge stitches as before. Work like this until the piece measures 53-64 cm along the sides, finishing after a complete repeat in height. Work 2 edge stitches as before, A.5 across 18 stitches, repeat A.3 until there are 15 stitches left, work A.4 across 13 stitches, 2 edge stitches as before. The stitch count remains the same, as you decrease on one side and increase on the other. When A.5 is finished, repeat the diagrams in height until the piece measures 70-81 cm along the increased side and 17-17 cm along the decreased side. Finish after a complete repeat in height. Work 2 edge stitches as before, A.5 across 18 stitches, repeat A.3 until there are 25 stitches left, work A.6 across 23 stitches, 2 edge stitches as before. You are decreasing on both sides of the piece. When A.6 is finished, repeat the diagrams in height until there are 35 stitches left. Work 2 edge stitches as before, A.7 across 31 stitches, 2 edge stitches as before. You decrease on both sides of the piece. Complete A.7 in height = 7 stitches. Cast off and fasten the strand. |
