Bon tricot!

I would like to know where I can find the recommended ease for this sweater?
23.05.2023 - 20:46DROPS Design answered:
Dear Anke, we don't use that concept, to find the appropriate size, measure a similar garment you have and like the shape and compare these measurements to the one in the measurement chart - read more about sizing here. Happy knitting!

Dag Nanny,

Bon tricot!

Gauge: 16 sts x 20 rows on larger needles in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm Front: Cast on 74-82-90-98-106 sts on smaller needles. Establish rib as follows (row 1 = right side): Sizes S, L and XXL: K 1 (edge st knit in garter st), * K 8, P 8 *, repeat from * - *, end with K 8 and K 1 (edge st knit in garter st). Sizes M and XL: K 1 (edge st knit in garter st), * K 8, P 8 *, repeat from * - *, end with K 1 (edge st knit in garter st). When the rib measures 7 cm change to larger needles and stockinette st. When the piece measures 12 cm inc 1 st at each side every 10 cm a total of 3 times = 80-88-96-104-112 sts. Read the entire section before knitting: When the piece measures 38-39-40-41-42 cm divide the piece at center front for V-neck. Put half of the sts on a st holder = 40-44-48-52-56 sts. 1st side: Dec 1 st at the neck edge every other row 16-17-17-18-18 times. When the piece measures 39-40-41-42-43 cm bind off for armhole at the side every other row: 4 sts 1 time, 3 sts 0-0-1-1-2 times, 2 sts 1-2-2-3-3 times and 1 st 2-3-3-4-4 times. After all armhole and neck shaping is complete 16-16-17-17-18 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 58-60-62-64-66 cm. 2nd side: Put sts from st holder back on needles and knit the same as the 1st side. Back: Cast on the same as the front and establish rib as follows (row 1 = right side): Sizes S, L and XXL: K 1 (edge st knit in garter st), * P 8, K 8 *, repeat from * - *, end with P 8 and K 1 (edge st knit in garter st). Sizes M and XL: K 1 (edge st knit in garter st), * K 8, P 8 *, repeat from * - *, end with K 1 (edge st knit in garter st). When the rib measures 7 cm change to larger needles and stockinette st as on front. Bind off for armhole as on front = 64-66-68-70-72 sts. When the piece measures 56-58-60-62-64 cm bind off the center 28-30-30-32-32 sts for the neck. Then bind off 2 sts at each neck edge on the next row = 16-16-17-17-18 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 58-60-62-64-66 cm. Sleeve: Cast on 44-44-47-47-47 sts on smaller needles. Establish rib as follows (row 1 = right side): Sizes S and M: K 1 (edge st knit in garter st), * K 7, P 7 *, repeat from * - *, end with K 1 (edge st knit in garter st). Sizes L, XL and XXL: K 1 (edge st knit in garter st), * K 8, P 7 *, repeat from * - *, end with K 1 (edge st knit in garter st). When the rib measures 10 cm change to larger needles and stockinette st. When the piece measures 12 cm inc 1 st at each side every 6-4-3.5-3-2.5 cm a total of 6-8-9-10-12 times = 56-60-65-67-71 sts. When sleeve measures 44-43-42-41-40 cm bind off for sleeve cap at each side every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 3 times and 1 st 2-2-3-5-6 times, then bind off 2 sts at each side until the piece measures 52-52-52-53-53 cm, then bind off 3 sts 1 time at each side. The piece measures approx. 53-53-53-54-54 cm, bind off the remaining sts. Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Neckband: Pick up 106 or 122 sts (divisible by 16 + 10) around the neck on smaller circular needles – start at center front. Knit back and forth from center front: K 1 row from wrong side and K 1 row from right side. Then establish the rib the next row as follows (wrong side): K 1 (edge st knit in garter st), * P 8, K 8 *, repeat from * - * end with P 8 and K 1 (edge st knit in garter st). From the right side the rib starts and ends at the center front with 1 st in garter st and K 8. When neckband measures 6 cm bind off all sts in rib. Lay the right neckband edge at center front over left. Sew from right side: the sts in garter st on right side to the picked-up edge on the left side. Sew from wrong side: the sts in garter st on left side to the picked up edge on the right side. Sew in sleeves. Sew sleeve and side seams using edge sts as a seam allowance. |
