Why don't you have the circular graph, to follow? I find A1 too confusing to follow

Dear Louise, that's the way we draw such patterns - read more in this lesson under Square diagrams / colour diagrams: at the bottom of the page. At the same time as ou will work the diagram A.1 increase as explained in the written pattern (increase 6 sts on every round working 2 sts in the same stitch). Happy crocheting!

---------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN: ---------------------------------------------------------- PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 and A.2. Diagrams show colours in pattern. 1 square = 1 treble crochet. COLOUR PATTERN (worked in the round): When changing colour work as follows: Work last treble crochet before colour change but wait with last pull through. Change to the next colour and work the last pull through with the new colour. Work the same way every time you change colour. When working with two colours place strands for the colour not worked over stitches from previous round, work around the strands so that they are hidden and follow in the round. CROCHET INFORMATION: Replace first treble crochet on round with 3 chain stitches, finish round with 1 slip stitch in third chain stitch from beginning of round. ---------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ---------------------------------------------------------- BAG - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: Worked in the round from bottom up. Work the strap at the end and fasten on each side of opening on bag. BAG: Work 5 chain stitches on hook size 3.5 mm with colour chocolate in DROPS Alaska, form a ring with 1 slip stitch in first chain stitch. Then work in the round according to diagram A.1 (work 12 repetitions of A.1 on round) - read COLOUR PATTERN! ROUND 1: Work 12 treble crochets around the ring - read CROCHET INFORMATION! ROUND 2: Work 2 treble crochets in every treble crochet the entire round= 24 treble crochets. ROUND 3: Work * 1 treble crochet in first treble crochet, 2 treble crochets in next treble crochet *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 36 treble crochets. ROUND 4: Work * 1 treble crochet in the first/next 2 treble crochets, 2 treble crochets in next treble crochet *, work from *-* the entire round = 48 treble crochets. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION! ROUNDS 5-10: Continue with increases and pattern as before, i.e. on every round work 1 treble crochet more between every increase. When diagram A.1 is done, there are 120 treble crochets on round and increases are done. Now work in the round according to diagram A.2 (4 repetitions on round). When diagram has been worked, crochet as follows: ROUND 1: Crochet * 1 treble crochet in each of the first/next 3 treble crochets, 1 chain stitch, skip 1 treble crochet*, work from *-* the entire round. Change to colour wheat. ROUND 2: Crochet 1 treble crochet in every treble crochet and 1 treble crochet around every chain stitch the entirre round. Fasten off. Bag measures approx. 30 cm vertically. STRAPS: Work the strap in the round without finishing the rounds and to get a round shape. At the beginning and end of strap there is a small notch, this will not be visible when strap is fastened. Use hook size 3.5 mm and colour wheat. Work 19 chain stitches, let the beginning of yarn be approx. 20 cm long. Work 1 treble crochet in the 4th chain stitch from hook, work 1 treble crochet in each of the next 15 chain stitches = 16 treble crochets and 3 chain stitches from beginning of round (17 treble crochets). Work 1 treble crochet around the 3 chain stitches from beginning of round (18 treble crochets) and work 1 treble crochet in 3rd chain stitch from beginning of round (this is now 1st treble crochet on next round) = 18 treble crochets. Continue to work in the round without finishing the round over the 18 treble crochets. Work until strap measures approx. 70 cm - strap can get longer during use so make sure not to make it too long. Let the end of yarn be approx. 20 cm before cutting the yarn. Pull it through last stitch and use the end at beginning and end of strap to fasten the strap in each side at the top of bag. |
