Hi Andree, Yes, the stitches previously worked in A.1 are now worked in A.3 and the same applies to A.2 and A.4 Happy knitting!

GARTER ST (back and forth on needle): K all rows. 1 ridge = 2 rows K. PATTERN: See diagrams A.1-A.4. The diagrams show all rows in pattern seen from RS. PATTERN TIP: Diagrams A.3-A.4 does not fit vertically when repeated but eyelet rows are continued diagonally upwards as before. NOTE: When diagram A.3 and A.4 meet mid back (there are 2 sts between), work the 2 sts between every hole tog and 1 YO. BUTTONHOLES: Dec for buttonholes on right band. 1 buttonhole = K tog fourth and fifth st from edge and make 1 YO. Dec for buttonholes when piece measures: SIZE S: 30, 39 and 48 cm SIZE M: 31, 40 and 49 cm SIZE L: 32, 41 and 50 cm SIZE XL: 33, 42 and 51 cm SIZE XXL: 34, 43 and 52 cm SIZE XXXL: 35, 44 and 53 cm ---------------------------------------------------------- BODY: Worked back and forth on circular needle from mid front. Cast on 212-212-252-252-252-292 sts (incl 16 band sts in each side towards mid front) on circular needle size 5 mm with Paris. Work 2 ridges in GARTER ST - see explanation above. Work the 16 band sts in each side in garter st until finished measurements - remember BUTTONHOLES. Switch to circular needle size 5.5 mm. Work as follows (1st row = RS): 16 sts in garter st (= band), A.1 (= 10 sts) 9-9-11-11-11-13 times in total in width (= mid back), then work A.2 (= 10 sts) 9-9-11-11-11-13 times in total in width, 16 sts in garter st (= band). REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! Remember Buttonholes - see explanation above. Continue with pattern until piece measures 33-34-35-36-37-38 cm. Then work A.3 over A.1 and A.4 over A.2 – READ PATTERN TIP! When piece measures 45-46-47-48-49-50 cm, divide the piece, finish front and back piece separately as follows: Slip the first 56-56-66-66-66-76 sts and the last 56-56-66-66-66-76 sts on a stitch holder for front piece, cut the yarn. Now only work over the middle 100-100-120-120-120-140 sts (= back piece). BACK PIECE: Continue pattern as before AT THE SAME TIME cast on new sts for sleeves in each side of piece at the end of every row as follows: 8-8-8-8-8-6 sts 2 times in total in each side, then 12-14-8-10-12-10 sts 1 time in total in each side = 156-160-168-172-176-184 sts on needle. Work inc sts in pattern and when all sts have been inc, work 4 sts in garter st in each side of piece for sleeve edge. Continue lace pattern as before. When piece measures 68-70-72-74-76-78 cm, cast off the middle 18 sts for neck = 69-71-75-77-79-83 sts remain on each shoulder/sleeve. Now finish each shoulder/sleeve separately. Continue to cast off 1 st on next row from neck = 68-70-74-76-78-82 sts remain on the shoulder/sleeve. When piece measures 68-70-72-74-76-78 cm, work * K 2 tog, 1 YO * over all sts until 2 sts remain, finish with K 2 tog = 67-69-73-75-77-81 sts on needle. Work 1 row in stocking st, then 1 ridge over all sts. Loosely cast off all sts. Piece measures approx. 70-72-74-76-78-80 cm. RIGHT FRONT PIECE: = 56-56-66-66-66-76 sts. Continue with the pattern as before while AT THE SAME TIME cast on new sts for sleeve at the end of every row from RS as follows: 8-8-8-8-8-6 sts 2 times in total, then 12-14-8-10-12-10 sts 1 time in total = 84-86-90-92-94-98 sts on row. Work inc sts in pattern and when all sts have been inc, work the last 4 sts in garter st for sleeve edge. REMEMBER BUTTONHOLES! Continue with lace pattern and in garter st as before. When piece measures 68-70-72-74-76-78 cm, work * K 2 tog, 1 YO * over all sts until 2 sts remain, finish with K 2 tog = 83-85-89-91-93-97 sts on needle. Work 1 row in stocking st, then 1 ridge over all sts. Cast off the outermost 67-69-73-75-77-81 sts from WS = 16 sts remain on needle for collar. Work the rest of row. Work in garter st over these sts with short rows, beg from RS as follows: * 2 rows back and forth over the first 10 sts, 2 rows over all sts *, repeat from *-* until piece measures 9 cm at the shortest. Cast off. LEFT FRONT PIECE: Work as right but reversed, do not dec for buttonholes. Cast on sleeves at the end of row from WS. Cast off shoulder sts from RS and beg short rows over collar from WS. ASSEMBLY: Sew shoulder/overarm seams and underarm seams. Sew the collar tog mid back and sew it to the neckline at the back. Sew the buttons on to the left band. |
